Highly recommend - we'll be coming back

2 bedroom unit is immaculate and extremely well maintained. Owner/manager is top rate are as amenities and proximity to activities. Listing/descriptions are photos are accurate to a "T." Views and slop access are second to none. I would highly recommend this property to friends/relatives and have done so already. We'll be back.

Coming Back Next Year

We thoroughly enjoyed our ski week at Solitude and the condo was perfect for our family. As you mentioned the late afternoon sun streaming in when we came home from skiing and the sunset glow was the daily treat to end our long day on the slopes. The HD TVs could not be beat for watching DVD's and providing good nightly family entertainment. The Powderhorn hot tub we preferred over Club Solitudes and we slept like logs every night. The powder just never stopped dropping and we will be back for more next year. Thanks for all your help Gene and we appreciate the value you offered us in discounts on the room, discount ski passes and rental tips!

Great location

We loved our stay! Awesome location, perfect for summertime concert series. The unit has two A/C units that help to keep everything cool. The Solitude Club pool is great, and there is even an additional spa located in the back of the building.

My children and grandchildren spent Thanksgiving at this property and we had a great time. We loved the out door pool and hot tub with the little children. It is peaceful. Not enough snow to go skiing but we had some beautiful hikes around the area. I would highly recommend this resort

Great condo in the perfect location.

I rented this unit for a couple of months during the "shoulder season" (Oct/Nov). The place comes with everything you need and the location simply can't be beat! The balcony has a great view of the ski hill and the canyon. I had a really nice time there.

Great place to stay for amazing skiiing!

This was the best ski vacation ever! The apartment was wonderful ski-in ski-out, with great amenities. The pool and hot tub were the perfect end to a day of awesome skiing, followed by a delightful, romantic dinner in front of the fireplace. Every detail was taken care of by our host and the accommodations were immaculate. Plenty of comfy beds for our family of five and everything we needed was there. We will be back and highly recommend this property!

Great condo for family ski trip

We just returned from 4 days of skiing at Solitude. We thought we would run over to some of the other ski resorts but enjoyed Solitude so much we never skied any where else. The condo was very well equipped and very comfortable. Plenty of space to spread out and gave our teenage sons their own space to watch tv. The kitchen had the basics needed but could be improved by adding a crock pot, some plastic cups (no glass allowed by the hot tub) and some more dinner plates. Loved the free laundry facilities and the hot tubs. The trip back down the mountain is so easy and quick we were able to trade out skis, grocery shop and go to restaurants "in town" with ease. Definitely would return to this property.

Highly recommended

I would highly recommend this property. It is steps away from the lifts and the ski rental shop, lift ticket office and ski school are within the same building. Though it snowed over a foot of snow almost every day of our visit it was comforting to have our rental car parked right inside the heated underground building garage. (Our last ski trip in Colorado we had to get 4 people to help dig out our car!) The views of the village and the slopes offered us a sneak preview each morning of how to dress and we would sit on the balcony and watch the kids ice skating in the village after skiing while watching the sun setting! The condo is well furnished and everything we needed, from a kitchen garlic press to a large wall peg rack hangers for the kids gloves, gaiters, goggles, hats, scarves was already thought of and easily located. The owner has thought of everything and was always responsive and available, and gave us the best restaurant recommendations in SLC both before arriving and after leaving. I can’t think of a better place to spend another Utah ski vacation.

The Perfect Choice!

Thank you very much for all that you provided for us. We had a great week and got in every run on the mountains seemingly endless terrain and Honeycombs hidden powder stashes. We hope to return to Solitude next winter, perhaps with another family as your 2 BR lock-out unit can easily accommodate our friends with their young son in the guest suite with each family having more than enough privacy with private bathroom access for both. So we’ll be in touch about rentals. That last snow storm gave us lots of fresh powder for our last ski day. We left with lots of smiles. Thanks again for all!

Wonderful Week

Gene, we had a wonderful week at Solitude. It's a lovely, well-run resort, and we found the mountain more varied and challenging than we expected. In fact, we had assumed we take sorties out virtually every day to the "big guns," such as Alta, but ended up spending more days than originally planned at Solitude just because we liked it so much.So, thank you for letting us stay in your unit. We enjoyed it immensely. We would recommend Solitude in a minute to our friends. (and Solitudedirect!). My only regret is that we couldn't have afforded it when our children were younger. The place was full of kids, playing hide and seek, having snow ball fights, etc. My boys are 16, 19, and 21, and are far too cool for such activities. I wish you a grand 2006!
