Great spot with awesome views

Patrick and Hilda were great hosts the place was as advertised great views top porch was amazing walking distance to town safe location Parking was nice to have and secure note no elevator so you get a nice workout with your luggage. We hope to have an opportunity to return

Monkeys in Samara

We so enjoyed our stay in the Dalia suite the view is incredible! And because the suite is on the top floor we were able to watch the monkeys up close!! Patrick is a wonderful host.

A Perfect Home away from Home

Awesome times in Dahlia

This was our 4th time at Alta Vista Condos. We just love it there. The beach is amazing and steps away, monkeys hang out in the back and new this year is the resident Macaw. We’ll be back again!

Penthouse in Paradise

Highly recommend this private oasis a stone’s skip away from truly one of the prettiest beaches I’ve been too. The facility is prefect and the staff took great care of us. If Costa Rica is calling, than Alta Vista is Samara is a must.

Stayed for almost a month. Has everything you need to relax and enjoy your time. Lots of stairs to the top floor but worth it for the view. Very secure building and close to beach and town. The large deck was a huge bonus. Would have felt claustrophobic without it. Any issues were dealt with immediately.

Wonderful Condo!

This was our second stay at Alta Vista but our first time in Dahlia. We loved this condo! It's perfect for 2 people and has everything you need. There is lots of natural light and private outdoor space to enjoy the surrounding nature, and you can't beat the view from the Congo Lounge. As an added bonus, climbing the stairs to this condo is great exercise. Patrick, Hilda, Miguel and Xinia are a great team, making you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful Condo

We stayed here for a month during a Spanish immersion class, and couldn't have been happier. The street where the condo is located is on a dead-end street so there is very little traffic, yet it's close to town and the beach so we were able to walk everywhere. The condo itself is well-equipped and maintained very well--any problems we had were promptly addressed. There is a manager on-site so we were well taken care of. The view was outstanding! All in all, a great stay. I heartily recommend staying here if you're in Samara.

Reliably Amazing!

Once again my stay at Alta Vista Condos was wonderful! I have enjoyed this special place for 10+ years and never been disappointed. It takes a special owner , with the needs of the guests, and a commitment to keep the accommodations functioning properly and looking so beautiful. Patrick and Hilda work tirelessly to do exactly that. The location iso close to the beach, that walking is quick and easy. Or if you prefer a bike ride (less than two minutes) you can pedal to town at low tide for fun. I seldom rent a car, but the parking area is covered, well lit, and secure behind sliding doors! Everyone with children appreciates the close proximity to the beach and the day camp, and the wonderful pool. Each apartment is well appointed with everything necessary to have a safe, comfortable experience. The staff is first class and take great pride in everything they do. Patrick is a wealth of information about the surrounding area, and is a well respected member of the community. I could go on, but my suggestion is to stay there, and I will be reading your glowing ( certainly better written reviews)! Thank you Hilda, Patrick, and Patrick Jr. for another wonderful visit! The best place to stay for miles around Playa Samara.

I have been staying at Alta Vista Condos since January 2016. The accommodations are excellent, convenient to everything, so close to the beach, on-site, covered, secure parking, a sparkling pool, and daily maintained.. I have never heard any complaints From a guest, not counting when it is time to leave. The view of The beach is always beautiful, at at sunrise magnificent! You have everything you need right there. Whether you like to prepare you meals, or sample the local restaurants. Everything is close by. Patrick and Hilda are amazing, well respected members of the community, and they are present and helpful in every way to make sure your visit is as good as possible. Of course I’ll. Be back at Alta Vista as soon as possible.

this is a terrible choice. there is no elevator to the 4th floor, AC cuts off a lot, super tiny room with a small bed. the pull out sofa is not a pull out sofa, its a bunch of crappy cushions. they ask you to account for each and every item in the unit on a 4 page printed list and will charge you even if everything was turned back ok.

Paradise in Paradise!

If you are reading this, do yourself a favor and press the BOOK IT button and then come back to this review. I am giving Patrick's property across-the-board 5 stars but, in truth, I wanted to give one or two 4 star ratings because I feel the listing UNDER sells this property. Located 10 min (if you're walking slowly) from the city center on a quiet street, this beautiful property has it all: view, location, wonderfully clean and welcoming spaces, privacy and a delightful plunge pool when it just gets too hot in the late afternoon. The team who manage the property were 100% responsive and their lovely warmth and welcoming natures made us feel right-at-home. We stayed in the top floor and while the patio is 'shared' we essentially had it to ourselves. The deep patio provides shelter from the sun and the lovely furniture (no expense spared!) welcomed our tired bodies and gave us a safe place to rest and recharge. Evenings are lovely there too as you can enjoy the sunset, the view of the the bay, and shelter from the topical rains. Waking to the monkeys in the trees behind the building with utter privacy is a delight, the bathroom and living space are well designed, and the entire area feels soft -- like being hugged by that lovely uncle or aunt who hold you tenderly and lovingly. Honestly, I cannot be more complimentary!

Modern Beautiful Condo

The views are stunning, front is a horse ranch and the beach. The back is trees w lots of monkeys. The condo is beautiful w large windows to enjoy the views including the shower. The on site staff are wonderful at their job and wonderful people. The location is great. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend these condos. Next is the only issue we had 👇🏻 There is a lot of steps to the condo. Make sure w Laura, upon your arrival someone is there to help w the bags. Laura assisted by 1) making a joke to our cab driver to help w the bags. He offered (we would have paid after our long journey) she laughed and told him to leave 2) carrying two grocery bags up and leaving them outside. When I mentioned to her she left them outside, she replied “well I don’t know what’s in there”. Upon our arrival Laura said we were probably late because we have gone food shopping. I have the email where Laura recommended going food shopping. This doesn’t make her a bad person, just be very clear w details when scheduling your arrival. Also, there is a pool to enjoy. Enjoy your modern condo!

Best location in Samara

We recently stayed 4 nights in Condo Dahlia. For us it was the perfect location. You are only a few blocks from the beach with a beautiful ocean view overlooking a pasture with cows and horses. On the walk to the beach we would pass chickens, dogs, free roaming horses and one time howler monkeys in the trees. You are away from the busy downtown, but can easily walk there. There are a few good sodas nearby. We loved the unit, especially the Congo lounge. We were lucky in that we mostly had the lounge to ourselves, only one time did we have other people up there. The staff were very nice and I sure appreciated Miguel carrying my heavy suitcase up and down the 4 flights of stairs. Samara was a fun town and if we ever return we would definitely stay here.
