“Pheasant Hill Cabin is a cozy place to stay. We loved hanging out on the deck overlooking the tall trees. The neighborhood was quiet and a great place to walk our dog. We especially appreciate that it's a dog friendly accommodation since we love to bring our dog with us on vacation. We also loved the short drive into town to go out to eat. We will definitely be staying at this cabin again. ”

“Our family stayed here for a weekend fishing trip to Lake Cuyamaca (about a 10 minute drive from the cabin). It was absolutely beautiful and so tranquil. Our family had everything we could ask for in terms of supplies and “at home” comforts in the cabin. The host was great and very responsive. We especially enjoyed sitting out in the patio area with the old California oaks and the other pretty trees throughout the yard. Make sure you go out and drink in the starry skies at night, too. “It is a quaint little rustic cabin tucked away in the woods. The deck is lovely spot to spend a morning drinking some coffee and watching the variety of birds that fly by. I had an issue with my truck and was able to quickly communicate with John about staying an extra day and even getting to check out a little later, closer to when my truck would be fixed.Definitely recommend staying here!”

“The beds were comfortable. We loved the coziness and warmth of the fireplace. The stained glass windows are so pretty and the views are gorgeous. The cleaning crew could do a better job. There was a pull-out cutting board that hadn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival and water was pooled at the bottom of the fridge with pieces of food floating in it. We stayed for one week and there was only 1 roll of paper towels provided, 1 additional roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and no extra trash……

Be sure to follow the owners directions to the house, not gps, they are different so trust hers. I was nervous arriving after dark, and if the roads were wet or icy it may have been difficult.
