The owner knew before we arrived with our kids that the fridge was inoperable and the stove had a short circuit. The stove would either not get very hot or it would burn the food within a minute on a low setting. We were unaware of the fridge issue until the next day and lost a lot of our food we purchased at the local supermarket. When we explained that to the host, he promised us ice in a cooler which never came. After 23 hours without dropping off the cooler, we got Vrbo involved. That’s when a cooler with ice was dropped off and he finally called an HVAC technician. After they came to look at the fridge, the work they did messed up the freezer. The freezer was never a problem until the host had a tech look at the fridge. I ended up losing most of the food in the freezer because of this. He had to send a HVAC technician on our last day to repair the freezer. Communication with the host was not easy and getting him to delivered what was promised was a challenge. Vrbo had to step in and make things right. The place was not as nice as pictured which I would have let it go because the a/c was cold and the place was clean but the situations that happened put a bad taste in my mouth and ruined my trip.
