“We had the most amazing stay at this property! The hotel was insanely beautiful and very well kept. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, and accommodated every request we had. Truly have never been so impressed by a hotel. 1000% recommend staying here if you are traveling to Lake Atitlan/San Marcos. They can even help arrange private transfers for you to eliminate stress. “The complex was extremely well kept and the room was clean and comfortable. The complex was quite difficult to find even with the provided instructions, we only found it because a local showed us the route. The area has a lot of construction so it is quite loud during the day. The balcony was not used as we had hoped because the drilling was constant all day. Also it would be nice if the balcony had seating. The staff are very quick to respond which was helpful because the toilet did not work……

“Paula is one of THE BEST hosts I’ve ever had. She was friendly, checked in on us, and was always quick to respond. Enrique (the onsite staff) was also very helpful. “This night was plesant surprise for our fmaily of three. It was not only a place to stay it provided an experience we will never forget. First of all if you dont appreciate History or architecture go somewhere else this one is not for you. Others that do step in to Mayan inn to take a beautiful walk in the past. “The pools and gardens are lovely as you come into the courtyard off a street lined with lights and colorful hanging basket streamers leading down to the water. I loved the sounds of the school next door. The room was great, staff was friendly and helpful and the food at the restaurant was the best on this whole trip. It was easy to get a taxi to Panajachel for the public water shuttles around to the other villages. ”
