“For the price, I would recommend and stay here again. Our room was clean and had what we needed. Nothing more. This is most definitely a bare minimum hotel. But the convenience of the location, the free bike, kayak and paddle boards…it’s worth it. Breakfast was a bit chaotic. But something for everyone. I think our favorite part was the sandy vintage beach hotel feel. We would take that any day over a fancy overpriced stay. Thanks Surf and Sand! We hope to be back soon ”

“If I had taken notice of the reviews I’d have avoided this place but I’m so glad I didn’t, for the price $54 I couldn’t fault it at all, I’ve stayed in far worse places for far more money than this . This place doesn’t deserve the bad reviews I saw, I’d stay here again without question. Great spot for restaurants and super easy for the i10. Don’t believe the BS in some of the reviews and have a great stay. Super comfy bed and quiet considering it’s next to the highway . ”

“All was very good except for the Sunday morning housekeeping staff. I wasn’t checking out until close to noon, so wanted to sleep in a bit. At 9:00 am the door slamming began. Seemed like they slammed the door on each room they cleaned at least 10 times. Most housekeepers use a doorstop to hold the door open - not this crew. I suspect that since it was a Sunday morning, it wasn’t the normal housekeepers. And it was really loud - so much so that if I owned the building, I’d be upset about……
