Wonderful historic "Ogeedankee" mountain camp lodge with 5 bedrooms and views.

"I am enamored of this cabin! This tranquil spot is a perfect “rusticator’s” getaway that preserves historic charm while blending in just the right amount of modern amenities. Classic features like the writing nook and large screened-in porch, plus vintage books and photos and nick-nacks, make it feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The well-heated bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and washer and dryer were greatly appreciated. There was plenty of space for everyone- human and canine alike - and thoughtful touches throughout. We loved the games and classic books on the shelves as well as the streaming services and dvds. The porch was everyone’s favorite spot for morning coffee or evening tea (my nieces loved the swinging “sailor’s sofa”). We did not use the additional sleeping cabin on the property, but were greatly impressed with its quality. The fireplace kept the whole cabin toasty, even on 32-degree nights! It was evident the hosts put a lot of care and attention into the cabin. There was a cheerful fire in the fireplace and a full woodbox when we arrived. Check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. Other instructions were easy to locate - printed and posted throughout, nicely blended into the decor and not obtrusive. When we had questions before, during, and after our stay, our hosts were easy to reach by text and always responded promptly. This was the perfect home base to return to and relax after a day’s adventure. We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Camp Ogeedankee!"

"The house was a great fit for our family in terms of size. The closets were also a great size and fit our needs very well. We especially enjoyed the game room, open concept and high ceilings were very pretty. A safety concern we did want to mention was the railing. We had a toddler with us and the posts in the railings were wide enough that a small child could potentially fall. While we always watch our toddler closely this could pose a serious safety concern and something we feel should be addressed. There were also several areas where the overall upkeep, cleanliness and maintenance of the home could be improved. We noticed broken drawers, doors that wouldn’t close properly and other areas throughout the home that appeared to need attention. The “clean” towels had a mildew smell. This was unpleasant and had us questioning if they were properly washed and dried. The living room furniture was also in need of repair and there wasn’t enough seating to comfortably fit our group. Overall, the home had a lot of space and worked well for our family but we feel that addressing maintenance, cleanliness, furniture and safety concerns would greatly improve the experience for future guests."

"The place was brand new. Beautiful location and opportunity Needs to be finished. Beds are harder than a rock no microwave. No end tables in bedrooms. Shower hand held was leaking onto ceiling Open wires. Owner was responsive and friendly. Enjoyed our time. For high end prices, needs some finishing"

"The host was wonderful. We arrived to a comfortable house that was clean and stocked with everyday necessities. It had a roomy, open common area with plenty of activities for our group of nine between the pool table, dart board, hottub, etc. "
