Outstanding location and beautiful condominium.

The location is perfect and close to the Lighthouse, the beach access is also close. The condo was very well maintained.

Lovely Place, Great Beach!

The condo is lovely! The location and views are terrific, and the condition is very nice! The resort is in the midst or being rebuilt from Hurricane Ian in 2022. The pool and tennis court were unavailable, but we didnt care, because we wanted the beach, and it was gorgeous, and not crowded at all.

Wonderful shell collecting down by the lighthouse

This property Is the only place I’ve ever stayed at in Sanibel. Why look anywhere else when I truly love it.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 3-week stay that we enjoyed very much! The unit was very comfortable and bright with a wonderful view of the Gulf. For the long stay we greatly appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, as well as the washer and dryer. It would be helpful to have a vacuum cleaner or mop in the unit since it can be hard to keep the floors clean with all the sand being brought in.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent. The unit is great and the location on Sanibel is perfect for us. Quiet, great beach access, all we really need. Management company at the property is reliable, pleasant and convenient. They have beach chairs, towels and umbrellas available some for rent at moderate prices and bikes to use for free that are great. Select Vacations does a great job and are dependable and easy to work with. Only issue is they are located at opposite end of island and need to figure out a way to leave the keys for us at the property so we don't need to go to the office with traffic down and back to get the keys.

Nice and quiet

We enjoyed our week at Sanibel. The condo was super clean with beautiful views. The beds were a little firm for our taste. Overall, it was an excellent stay. We would return.

Old Condo-Needs Updating!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall this condo provided a nice view and basic accommodations. Condo was in need of new decor, furnishings, and updated kitchen utensils. Our complaints:Wall pictures so old, the frames bent and picture was faded/Bucket under kitchen counter that was catching a leaking drain.-Discovered on vacating.Smelled horrible/A Dryer that didn't dry clothes/Sofa that was very worn and extremely uncomfortable due to age/Dirty A/C Vents/Kitchen utensils were horrible and needed updating.

We have two timeshares but one week is never enough so we always extend the trip by renting another unit at Shell Island for a few days. Shell Island 5B was a fine unit overall we were happy with our stay. There were a few small things about the unit that we felt could be improved (some deferred maintenance/minor cleanliness items) but overall nothing that I would say would keep us or should keep others from renting the unit in the future.

Beautiful, Peaceful Retreat

We have found our favorite Florida location. This wonderful property is located on a lush beautiful island with plenty of amenities and activities. Specifically this property is located on the quiet end of the island where access to the beach, pool, and bike paths make it a perfect place for families to relax. The condo had everything we needed, including a gas grill which came in handy when we bought fresh fish and produce at the farmers market on Sunday morning. We will definitely come back.

Can't Go Wrong at this Quieter East End Property on Sanibel

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our unit at Shell Island Beach Club was close to the beach and had spectacular views from the lanai. If you like the quieter east end of Sanibel this is a good location for you. Our unit, 5B, was in good condition with some signs of wear evident. We enjoyed the closeness to the beach, as well as the pool area which is very well maintained. The rental management, Select Vacation Properties, always provides great service. Overall, you would enjoy any stay at unit 5B Shell Island Beach Club.

Great view!

This unit has a great view. All appliances were updated. Shell Island Beach Club is a nice complex near the Sanibel Lighthouse.

Island Stay

Very nice property with lovely view to the Gulf. Had some problems with water leakage on the floor in the Master Bathroom upon our arrival, but thankfully this was resolved by a plumber within 24 hours after our arrival. The Condo was very comfortable, but there are a few things that should be tended to: missing and broken knobs on the vanity in the Master Bathroom, an extremely rusty ceiling fan in the lanai that we were afraid to use for fear of it coming apart, bath and beach towels that are thin and could use replacement, and kitchen knives that are extremely dull. We really enjoyed the quiet location and spending time on the lanai. Overall, a very nice property that just requires a few touch-ups.

Nice but needs help

Condo is in a very nice complex - great pool, BBQ pits and location. It was a nice stay. This was our second stay here. However...... The Master bed was very hard. If you like sleeping on a very hard surface this bed is for you. I like a firm mattress but this was by far the hardest I have experienced in some time. When we got to condo, we found out that there were very few towels. One hand towel in condo, one wash cloth in condo (except two that were found in kitchen drawer dirty and smelly). We attempted to call rental agent and found that they were closed on Sunday. We purchased towels for us to use during stay. Also, kitchen has very nice assortment of kitchen tools, but some were very dirty (food still left on them). Overall, it was a good time, but would not say here again until the tired furniture was replaced and new mattresses were in place.

Great location on the beach

We came down with immediate family to relax over the holidays. Very easy to isolate, everyone on the island were masked and socially distant. Much needed respite. Unit looking a little dated, kitchen utensils (knives, wine glasses) and bath towels could be refreshed. Perfect location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: SIBC is such a great complex on the east end of Sanibel. We love the grounds, pool and how well kept the buildings always are. The condo owners take great pride in their units and it shows in the lovely furnishings and decor. Building 5 has the best views of the ocean which you can enjoy from the lanai from sunrise to sunset. If you want to be near the lighthouse and sandy shallow waters, this is the best place for that. SIBC offers free bikes to use during your stay, all have comfortable seats and basket on the handlebars for your camera, sunscreen, towel and bottled water. Just grab and go without any worries. Unit was clean and fresh upon arrival and came with surface sanitizer so you can spritz and clean during your stay. Little bottles of hand sanitizers came in handy for those quick runs to the store.

Excellent location! Beautiful beaches!

The location is perfect. Quiet end of the island, low traffic. The whole island is bicycle friendly so bring yours or rent one. This unit is part of a complex that's essentially right on the beach. The pool is kept in great shape; crystal clear water. The unit itself was clean and pretty well cared for. The screened-in patio did not drain properly. We were there in July, so rain every afternoon was just part of the Florida experience! But the patio collected water. So, morning coffee on the patio was always in a half-inch of water. But I'm sure this was specific to our unit. The property in general was very nice.

Great. but....

The kids bedroom does not get very cold. When the air is on 74 the master bedroom is comfortable , but it is warm in the kids room . Also the master bed is very firm. My husband and I left the week with a very sore backs.
