Good place to stay right downtown. But, like any large city you need to be careful. Lots of shopping and historical sites all within walking distance. Property is a little tired but very clean with super interesting decor. Overall a good spot for a 30 hour layover!

Hotel Plaza San Francisco
Nice hotel in the old town area, all staff were very pleasant and helpful. Slightly negative points were that the well advertised happy hour was only available if you were buying food prior to ordering drinks and we were rationed to 2 tea bags in the room for our 3 night stay !
