“I would say this is a hidden gem. An elegant hotel in the heart of Caldas de Reis, so very convenient if you are making the Camino. It is way above others in this route. Nicely appointed rooms. It was nice to see some other pilgrims from El Camino staying here as well. Breakfast was nice too. Checking in took a little longer than expected, but service was courteous and informative. When you are getting to your hotel after a stage of el Camino, you just want to hit a shower as soon as……

“Breakfast was delivered to our room, jetted tub was there which we expected as we were walking a lot. However, the appearance of this building was not pleasant. The reception had a tiny window (10 by 10 cm) and looked like the receptionist was hiding something or scared of something. There were two huge iron gates on both sides of the building which she opened just for us to get in and closed right after. This building reminds us of a prison. Desde que metí la llave para encender la electricidad, el sistema no dejó de emitir ruido durante toda la noche, y mi teléfono tuvo directamente una descarga”
