Summer 2023 Family Holiday

Very secluded and private villa which we loved. Easy to find with the directions provided. Close to supermarket and dinning facilities. Central for visiting various sites in the area. Lovely spacious pool and veranda were the highlights and made the holiday very special for the children.

The perfect home away from home. Luxury with all the added comforts.

The property is most certainly 5* accommodation. The facilities are perfect and have everything you need plus lots more. The kitchen had every appliance you could hope for and had a lot of everything. We spent very little time if any in the lounge, that was predominantly used as a walk through to get outside. The outdoor seating was perfect, extremely comfortable. The pool was a great size and clean and deep with stunning views. The only slight negative would be that the shower head in the upstairs bathroom was faulty and the shower on offs took a bit of working out but it made no impact on our stay. It would also have helped to have a bit of a welcome pack to give some information on the area, local supermarket, restaurants etc. But again, we are quite adventurous so not a massive deal for us. Car is absolutely essential. We will def recommend and re visit the property. Thank you for our memorable stay.

Beautiful Villa in Rural Pirtugal

We had a wonderful week in mid Sept in this villa. The villa was so well equipped and the pool was immaculate. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy the views of the hills from the veranda, and the luxury of our own very private and big pool in the heat of the day. The villa has everything you could need to self cater, with a good choice of supermarkets and shops in Sao Bras. We liked that although the villa is very luxurious, it also.has a homely feeling, so we felt we could relax. We loved the little town of Sao Bras de Alportel, it really has everything you could want, with several restaurants a wonderful patisserie on the square and takeaways if you need them. It is not in any way touristy, but has an interesting history and very friendly locals. Worth noting though, most places don't take card and a lot is closed Sat from 1pm till Tuesday morning. There are ATMs in the town though, and it is worth finding the little carpark near the Santander bank which saves a lot of hassle trying to park on the street. We loved our first visit to Portugal, the villa owners were very good at communication, and helpful. Do ask their advice about hire cars as you will need one. We booked through the airline which was our only mistake. We look forward to coming back in the near future.

Wonderful holiday.

Just returned from our stay. Had a really lovely time and would highly recommend this villa. Communication with helpful owner was great from start to finish. Located in a quiet area, very private setting with beautiful views. Extremely comfortable, clean & very well equipped.

A relaxing hideaway

This property does not disappoint. My husband and I spent a relaxing week with our son, daughter-in-law, five year old granddaughter and thirteen week old twin grandsons at this beautiful villa. It has everything you would need for a wonderful holiday, including a very comfy shaded terrace/dining area with spectacular views. Communication with the hosts was excellent, including clear directions and instructions. They provided two travel cots and were very helpful in allowing us a later check out to accommodate the babies' feeds. During the heat of the day, the five year old could play in her bedroom or watch TV in the air-conditioned lounge. The pool was wonderful, much warmer than we had expected. The villa was spotless and well-maintained. A car is essential to get to local restaurants or shops and being so close to the airport, the easy transfer was a bonus with small children.

Great property in great location with awesome hosts. Our family could not have been happier with our experience. The property and location exceeded all of our expectations! We will stay here again on our next trip to Portugal and the Algarve.

Absolutely fabulous stay

An excellent, well-appointed villa. The swimming pool is better than any we have enjoyed in other similar villa holidays worldwide / five star hotels. The finishing, furnishings, appliances, A/C were all of a very high standard. The views and the terraced gardens are a whole lot better than the internet pictures suggest. Michael was most accessible and helpful.

Peace and Tranquility

The villa is well off the beaten track, even the local taxi drivers struggled to find it. It has stunning views morning, noon and night. The local town is a five minute drive and is very cheep for eating out (Lois chicken is a must), there are a few supermarkets if you choose to use one of the magnificent BBQ"s in the villa. The villa is well furnished and it was nice that all bedrooms were ensuite.

Fabulous villa

We've recently returned from a 10 day stay at the villa and had a fantastic time. We were a family of 6 and there was more than enough space for us all. The villa was exceptionally clean and well equipped. The pool was perfect. There were some wonderful restaurants costing just a few euros in a taxi to get to, so only minutes away. The square in Sao bras is lovely too, a real unspoilt Portuguese town. The location was perfect for visiting tavina, faro and ayamonte in Spain, all approximately 30 minutes drive away and all definitely worth a visit. We also had a day trip to Lisbon which was fabulous; a long day but worthwhile. Overall a very enjoyable holiday.

Enjoyed our Stay

This house is an excellent choice for any family with lots of space and a good sized pool. The house was very clean and we were settled in within minutes. The children enjoyed the fast internet connection to watch Netflix when it was too hot outside.

Lovely Villa In Ideal Location

Villa is ideal in terms of location,standard , space and appliances. I holiday in villas three times a year and this one is as good as and better than most. Journey from airport was as indicated a simple twenty minute drive given the directions Michael had supplied. Already thinking of returning next year.

Exceptional property, stunning views, great pool

We were 5 people staying in Casa Boa Sorte for 2 weeks. We can't express well enough how happy we all were in the villa. The owners have certainly put a lot of effort, care, thought and love in the villa and we could feel it in every corner. The pool is a real gem. We couldn’t get out of it during those hot days. The furnished terrace is the place to be for breakfast and dinner. But be careful! It will make you drink a lot of G&Ts, admiring the views and the sunny sky. The 3 bedrooms with an ensuite each were furnished with taste and great quality. The owners really cared for us providing all we needed from directions to the property to answering promptly to any inquiry we had.

Stunning and peaceful

Villa Boa Sorte is a wonderful villa, situated up a quiet lane. There are lovely views across the valley towards the sea. The owners Michael and Donna were extremely helpful - helping our holiday go like clockwork! Nothing was a problem to them. The Villa is a credit to them...extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Impressively equipped also. The pool area is ideal and two of the bedrooms open straight out onto it. There are a few good restaurants and a quality supermarket nearby...very handy! I travelled with three friends and we had a brilliant holiday... totally chilled. We cant recommend it enough and certainly wouldn't hesitate in returning. Quiet, safe, stunning views, great location.

It's a recently fully refurbished villa with air conditioning and underfloor heating. High standard furniture. High spec kitchen. Bedrooms very comfortable. Lovely bathrooms. South facing pool with wide tiled terrace. The location is very good. Just a couple miles from downtown of Sao Brás it's though a quiet area overlooking the fields with the sea in between the hills. São Brás is a little town with all the amenities and very central. Great restaurants! Just 30 minutes from the coastline and majors golf courses. Firmly recommend!!!
