Beautiful property, but w/mobility issues hard to get around. Tried calling for help at #s provided in rm, the calls just rang, and rang, and rang, and rang. Never got transportation help. Although I purchased a ‘Deluxe’ package from Expedia, when I asked about that at check-in (I am fully bilingual BTW) the rep told me that was the problem. They were able to move my son and daughter to a beautiful ocean view 2-bed room because I explained I could only book King for them through Expedia (this might have been user error on my part). The rep discouraged UPGing our experience to a higher level of svc and rm, so did not pursue. Drinks on our plan were weak (social drinker). Meal times throughout the property were restricted, including the snack bar. The food was mainly for sustenance and not flavor. The exception was the food at specialty dining ‘The Grill’ (which is the no air conditioner snack bar and probably the reason it closes at 5p). My son did not go to because he didn’t have the required long pants, but we found too late they did not enforce the dress code. Though everyone is professional, we did feel an undercurrent of disdain towards us. Only 4 spots for kayak lessons for all hotel, but no hotel rep to provide it. Said it was due to rain, but it was sunny. Not even kayak company knew why there wasn’t anyone from the hotel to provide the lessons. The water sports company, On The Beach, was a positive and competitive rates. Need car to go do things outside of property.
