Great Getaway

I wanted a little "me" time so I decided to stay in Saugatuck and explore for the first time. The location was perfect. The hot tub was great. I couldn't be happier with the experience.

Great Location, Charming Accommodations

Wonderful location, quaint, pleasant accomodations. There was a slight issue with the bathroom door that prevented it from fully closing, though beyond this the space was as described. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bed was comfortable. The host was somewhat responsive via email, though not via the VRBO platform. I would not that the electronic lock does self-lock after a period of time which caught me unaware and left me locked out of the property without my cellphone, wallet, car keys or shoes until I was able to locate a neighbor to call the property manager. Definitely not the fault of the property manager but I think something to note so future guests don't repeat my folly. All in all, I would definitely come back for a stay!

Oriole cottage

We enjoyed our weekend stay at the Oriole Cottage. We took in the tulip festival in Holland and enjoyed the quite laid back atmosphere of the cottage. We relaxed in the hot-tub and enjoyed cooking on the grill. Just a great overall stay. Thank you!

Loved every second!

Absolutely amazing little cottage! Perfect for our annual mother/daughter vacation! The cottage is perfect! Bed so comfortable, get a/c. The hot tub simply amazing. Loved the short walk into town, and having the washer and dryer was so great! Thank you so very much for a wonderful stay!

Convenient and cozy

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary over Memorial day weekend. The cottage is the perfect size for two and has all the amenities you need for a long weekend. We loved having our own hottub and the screened in porch was delightful to use. The walk to town is so short that we were able to bike or walk the entire trip. Highly recommend!

Brought my grandaughter for spring break the place was like a little tree house. BONUS HOT TUB!!! Loved it we got rocks from beaches to paint. Left ine in the cottage. I will definitely be back especially in the off season. Not lots of people around. Very relaxing in the hot tub

Quaint and adorable

Everything was great during our stay. Great location. I did attempt to communicate with the owner after booking because I had a potential conflict, but after no response from him...I let it go and just assumed the $$ loss. That was frustrating but the actual place was nice.

Wonderfull time !!

At the beginning we were a little bit skeptic about the place and location. You may find it a little bit small but it is perfect for gataway for just two people. Having an outside hot tub is definitely a big, big plus for a place. You can spend really good time in it after walking through beautifull city of Saugatuck. In terms of distance to the city it is literally few walks away from everything: great marina, bars, restaurants and shops. There is also a grill at the patio so make sure you bring some steaks for Oriole dinner :) Suffice to say this place is really great and we sure will be coming back soon!!

1st Anniversary Stay

My wife and I took a long weekend trip for our first anniversary to Saugatuck. The Oriole was in a great location with parking on site, and was easily walkable to the shops of downtown Saugatuck. It was exactly as advertised. We had a great trip and enjoyed our stay!

Great location!

Great location, absolutely loves the hot tub, we visited late October. The only reason for 1 less star is the bed was really really hard. Made it incredibly difficult to sleep. We were able to open windows to get air flow, but would also really benefit from some kind of fan. A keurig would have been nice too. Considering it only sleeps 1-2 people. But can’t beet the location to town and hot tub.

Place needs an update!

Bed and pillows were awful! Bathroom was soooo bad. Shower was like being in a coffin. No railing going up the stairs! So over priced for the shape of the place. Loved the location but would never recommend anyone stay there. Much better competition out there!
