Historic Cottage c.1820, Private Parking, Close to River by Lucky Savannah

If you’re looking for a house with history, look no further! Located downtown in the heart of Savannah’s Historical District, this charming Savannah vacation rental comfortably accommodates up to four people and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1820 by John Ballon, a free man of color, the history of Freeman’s Cottage is detailed in the book "Savannah’s Little Crooked Houses: If These Walls Could Talk," by Susan B Johnson and published by the History Press, 2007.

Located downtown in the heart of Savannah’s Historical District, this charming Savannah vacation rental comfortably accommodates up to four people and features on-premise parking and a secluded garden patio. The beautiful wood used in the living area makes the space warm and inviting. Open to the kitchen, you’ll never miss a beat of the conversation. Enjoy a home cooked meal or leftovers from one of Savannah’s many fine dining establishments in the sunroom, where you’ll enjoy a view of the secluded garden patio. The full bath has a walk-in shower and large, wooden vanity. The bedroom is located upstairs, and has a queen sized bed you can relax into after a busy day of exploring.

Enjoy the modern amenities of home while experiencing historic Savannah, including a washer/dryer, high-speed wifi, and free, on-site parking. Nestled between Warren and Washington Squares, Freeman’s Cottage is conveniently located within walking distance to shops, restaurants, theaters and other points of interest. With the picturesque garden patio, the Cottage is ideal for those celebrating an anniversary or special occasion.

This cottage was adorable and in a great location downtown. However, it wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been. All flat surfaces were dusty/dirty. AC vents were mildewed. They did send maintenance to clean vents.

Freeman’s Cottage

This was an amazing find! Not only was the cottage adorable and historic, it came with a sweet little enclosed patio that we could enjoy along with our dog. There was a dedicated parking space for us too! It was quiet and less touristy on Warren Square as well.

Great location and off street parking.

Rustic cottage with all expected amenities'. Great location with restaurants and tourist sites within walkable distance. Just used my car one day to go to the beach, otherwise car was left in the driveway. Communication with property management team was excellent. All communication was prior to check-in. No issues during stay.

Work conference/family vacation

Freeman’s cottage was perfect for my wife, our son, our dog, and myself for three nights. Convenient walk to shops on Broughton and quick access via car to events for work downtown. I would caution against adults with mobility issues accessing the loft for sleeping, that could be dangerous. Overall, a neat and comfortable experience with a lot of history built in to the space. Well done for a short stay.
