"Excellent property with nice clean rooms and helpful cheerful staff. Excellent weekend breakfast with biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage and potatoes. Friday did not include those items but the waffle cooker and yogurt and excellent coffee was fine. "

"When we checked in the front desk, person was absolutely amazing. She helped me with my points. She helped us with our dog absolutely terrific the gentleman that was there later in the evening was rude, inconsiderate, and had an attitude. I had a problem with the people above us, a small child jumping off the bed being very loud he said he’d handle it. It only got worse when I said something to him the next morning he said it was my fault because I didn’t complain enough he didn’t fix it the first time it got worse what would you’ve done the second time?"

"Staying at the historic American House 1854 was an unforgettable experience. The property beautifully preserves its history, while offering modern comforts. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. The rooms were immaculate, comfortable, and full of charm. Communication with hosts, including directions, was terrific. The location was perfect for exploring both McGregor and the surrounding area. We liked being able to walk to all the shops in town. A bonus was a book on a side table that shared past stores of the area, including one about American House 1854! If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in the area, this is the place!"
