“We felt very comfortable in this sweet little cottage in the woods. It’s only a short distance off Hwy 1, but far enough for no traffic noise. The location makes it easy to travel to any of the beautiful peninsulas. The cottage was very clean and well maintained, and we felt like we found a treasure renting here. Also, Amanda (the Host) is so easy to work with - any questions we had were answered promptly and she has a wonderful personality. We weathered the storm one day and night as hurricane……

“Lovely, updated two-bedroom house in a beautiful setting! Situated half-way between two Acadia National Park destinations - the more popular (and more crowded) Mt Desert Island/Bar Harbor and the beautiful (less crowded) Schoodic Peninsula. The house was clean and well-cared for with newer appliances and the convenience of a washer and dryer. Check-in and out was simple and Amy made herself available but we had absolutely no issues during our stay. Would definitely stay again!”

“We loved everything about this rental. It is private, immaculately clean, and horses! It was so quiet and relaxing to watch the sunrise with coffee out on the deck and horses grazing in the paddocks. This home is perfectly situated to be close to Bar Harbor, Acadia Park, Schoodic Point (even better) and yet distant from crowds and heavy traffic. Driving past the Wyman Blueberry fields was amazing! The host was so helpful and we were so grateful for the Schoodic Point recommendation!”

“This was our first trip to Franklin, we came to visit family. The house was perfect. Sat on a beautiful piece of property over looking a bay. We watched the tide come in each day. The sunrise was gorgeous. The house was very well equipped. Very good communication with the owner, and we had a wonderful time. My only comment would be the beds are very firm, so if you’re not used to that, I’d bring something to cushion the mattress. Other than that, wonderful home to rent.”

“The A frame is simply and beautifully built with clear plexiglass roofing, a conventional door w/ windows and another window above the bed's headboard. Lots of Light and very clean, The bed is really comfortable. A small dresser inside keeps kitchen items ( coffee mugs, plates, silverware etc ) out of the elements. Gravity fed water via hose is very nice to have. Host is so very nice and informative as well without being intrusive. The site is very peaceful and beautiful. We had another very……

“The hosts were easy-going and unintrusive. We spent the trip making day visits to Bar Harbor and within Acadia, and the evenings relaxing with a fire. Good heating, plenty of space to spread out for three of us, and clear instructions.”
