“Clean and tidy room in a serviced house with an en suite shower room. Comfy bed, TV, chest of drawers svd a cupboard but no chair or table/desk so had to use my laptop as a laptop which is not ideal when you have done work to do. Good WiFi. No kettle in the room but well equipped shared kitchen downstairs. So, a little Spartan but certainly adequate and uncluttered room. Only a short walk from the town centre and a Wetherspoons so really did not need to cook anything. Overall comfortable svd……

“The host ignored my calls and I was left stranded after calling numerous times, they switched their phone off. I want a refund as I had to book alternative accommodation. Very disappointed”

“For my purposes of visiting an unwell relative, it was perfect. However, if you don’t know the area it appears a bit run down. The appartments themselves have good security with cctv. I booked through travel site and found communication was not easy. I have a feeling the owners are new to letting their appartments so hopefully teething issues. The cleanliness was ok but I again suspect that it was a rush job to prepare for our stay. The apartment location is central and a short walk to the train……

“First of all A big thank you to Sue, she is a great host, very helpful and friendly. The Fox Cottage was very cosy - very peaceful and relaxing with everything we needed, including a very nice welcome basket with home made brownies which we enjoyed when we arrived after a very long drive. The Fox Cottage is spacious, very well equipped and well situated not far from York and the North York Moors. The appliances in the house are modern and work very well.
