This property was excellent overall, despite some minor hiccups. The house itself transports you back with its mid-century modern appointments and tiling. We really loved the windows and exposure to the trees on the property, and other than an occasional passerby, it felt very private, even with the shades drawn up. The living room is a great spot to read for a bit with the slider open to hear the rain or trees in the breeze. The kitchen has everything you need for a short or long stay, and the deck is a nice place to also unwind.
The location is also excellent, and right along the 24 bus route, which brings you straight into downtown Seattle. This was very convenient coming from the airport, and with a free transfer, only costs $2.75/person for the rail and bus. It's also walking distance to Discovery Park for anyone looking to do a good walk in the woods, and only about 15 minutes from Ballard locks and the fish ladder. Getting to Ballard is also quite easy, with a 30 min walk or 10 min walk/bus combo. Just keep an eye on the time the locks close (9pm), as the walk along the bridge to Ballard is not ideal.
While there was a few small issues (tub drained slowly/was backed up, one roll of toilet paper provided for four nights, projector inoperable) they were ultimately rectified by Vacasa's local maintenance team, who ensured those issues were rectified and also recommended a partial refund for the trouble. It really changed our minds about using Vacasa for future stays, and staying at this property again if we are ever in Seattle.
