This condo at Sunset Cove is a 2 BR, 2 bath (showers only) Poolside unit on the first floor (King, Queen and Twin) with easy access to the pool with a swim-up snack and cocktail bar as well as Seven Mile Beach. Sleeps up to 5 persons. | Location, Location, Location!! Sunset Cove is located on the southern end of Seven Mile Beach less than one mile from the restaurants and duty-free shops in George Town. This Cayman Condos professionally-managed Poolside unit offers a full kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, cable TV, DVD, central a/c, ceiling fans, hairdryers, safe, washer/dryer, complimentary WiFi and private patio. Sunset Cove is a *2018 & 2019 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence* property! | | Property amenities include the largest swimming pool on Seven Mile Beach with a swim-up snack and cocktail pool bar, a whirlpool, and a separate shallow wading pool for small children. There is a sandy beach with a protected swimming cove as well as a snorkel reef just outside the cove to enjoy. This Seven Mile Beach property location is convenient to all the action. A variety of restaurants, shops, nightlife, water sports and golf all nearby. | | Trusted on-site professional manager to welcome you on arrival at our office, and help with any questions or problems during your stay. Bath and beach towels provided. A midweek "light-touch" maid service for stays of 7 nights or more is provided (services not included with most discounts/specials). November Getaway

Overall it's a fine place to stay. You can tell that they have renovated the property and what they have done looks nice. The garbage disposal wasn't working; I think the previous guests put some eggshells or shells of some sort down the disposal and it was blocked. My husband got that fixed. We arrived right after lots of rain and at the end of our stay there was more rain. I think there's a sump pump on the patio, but the pump wasn't working which led to the patio littered with lawn debris, cigarette butts, etc. The resort is nice. Pool area, hot tub and cabana area were all great. We didn't do enough research, because we thought we could walk from our beach area up to the 7-mile beach area....actually we thought our beach area was part of 7-mile beach but we were informed it is not. Apparently once upon a time you could make the walk along the beach but over the years the beach has washed out in places, so you actually have to walk along the road about a mile or so and then cut back to the 7-mile beach area. The resort itself does have a beach which is very nice, but you just can't walk up and down the beach like we anticipated. During the weekdays the resort is very quiet - not a lot of people out by the pool At times it was just us. During the weekends, it was very busy.

Sunset Cove Cayman

This was our first time in Cayman. We thoroughly enjoyed the island but the better access to the beach was further down 7-mile since this area by Sunset Cove was “coved” off by rocks. Things we liked: the pool bar and staff were great, the pool was clean and well kept. Things that could have been better: We were given the incorrect WiFi password and didn’t have WiFi until the 3rd day of our stay. While the unit was fairly priced, it lacked some of the conveniences that we are typically used to: i.e. insulated tumblers for pool use, pool noodles/rafts, a few laundry pods for more than 1 day, more dishes available. The unit was also fairly clean and the furniture could use replacement. There was no security during the day and as a result, many non-renters and non-residents would come to use the pool. We did meet other owners of this complex and saw some other units that were more updated than this one. Highly recommend Cayman Islands—-great food, friendly people.

1st time visit to Sunset Cove

The visit was a tale of two experiences... the curbside views of the property, parking lots, old Margaritaville Hotel were not very good. Old & broken buildings, garbage all over the parking lots , abandoned cars & lots of over growth. The area around the property were in need of attention, cleaning and refurbishing. Once you get inside the property limits, everything changed and got better. Pools were clean, beach was well kept and had ocean access in a protected cove. Pool bar and restaurant were amazing. The unit itself was clean & neat. It had limited number of amenities and basics for everyday living. Easy to have breakfast and lunch at the unit and dinner away. It clearly had a leak at some point as the ceiling showed signs of replacement and partial repaint. It need some attention to some of the details.. the master bathroom didn't have a toilet paper dispenser. 2nd bathroom shower pressure was weak. Screen door off master bedroom was broken & the A/C unit kept tripping the breaker causing the temps in the unit and humidity to increase. A/C unit was loud and seemed to be struggling but it functioned. Ventilation in the second bedroom wasn't good (they must have known it too because there was a fan in the bedroom when we got there). Positives: The location of the complex was great. At the beginning of 7 Mile Beach. We walked to Georgetown & Camana Bay. You could also walk to the grocery store, pharmacy and liquor stores. The unit itself was also great, located right next to the pool bar and on the main pool. It was a little loud at night but closed early at 9 pm. So, it was more than manageable. The staff was present, pleasant and helpful. Security team was always around. Pool bar staff was awesome. Inside the Condo compound was clean, well kept and comfortable. In summary, for the first experience at Sunset Cove and VRBO, both are worth a second chance. Sunset Cove will get another visit from us

Spring break retreat

The unit was clean but could use some overall updates and amenities. Scant supplies (spices, s&p, wraps of any kind) were found in the kitchen for daily cooking. The location was terrific! Just steps from the pool, pool-bar, and beach. The beach was amazing with great sunsets and the reef, man the reef, just a short swim and the aquatic life was tremendous! Rays, lobster, and sooo many types of fish. We will definitely come back!
