From the moment we pulled up to the cabin, we were awestruck by the beautiful view of the Great Smoky Mountains. Once inside the cabin, we felt at home. Clean, comfortable and they provided everything we needed. We truly enjoyed our stay!
We had a great stay! The cabin was perfect for our family! My husband and I used the downstairs bedroom (with a very comfortable king bed!) and our 2 boys loved the bunk beds which were also downstairs. My parents used the upstairs bedroom with king bed. They enjoyed having their own area. The views from the back sunroom and deck were amazing every morning and evening! I highly recommend this cabin!
Perfect in every way… location, cleanliness, amenities, comfort, and cooking supplies! After 5 stays at nice cabins in the Smoky’s since 2017 this one rises to the top!
Family vacation with 2 small kids under 3. It was a really nice stay. The place was as described. Beautiful views and sunsets. Close to many Smoky Mountain activities. Easy to communicate with the hosts and they were very receptive and responsive with needs.
The location was exactly what we were looking for with our trip. We enjoyed the view and the hot tub. It was close to hiking and other activities that kept us busy. We were hoping to see a bear but no luck….maybe next time.
We really enjoyed our stay. We spent most of our time in the sunroom putting a puzzle together and looking at the awesome views. The rental had everything that you would need and was very clean. We hope to stay here again in the future.
Excellent view of the valley below! Clean and neat property with amenities: hot tub, game room, fireplace, large windows facing the valley. Trailheads inside Natl Park a very short drive away. Would stay here again!
Property is as pictured with magnificent spot in the Smoky Mtns. All loved multiple decks & hot tub and kids loved game room. Owners very available for questions, etc... Loved that each bedroom has own bathroom, but the old, immovable shower heads need to be addressed. Master bathroom could use new shower. Otherwise, kitchen well stocked & starter detergent,, paper goods much appreciated. Highly recommend for families.

Perfect getaway
This cabin was perfect for my family of four. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the things needed. My two sons loved the game room and lower deck with the hot tub. My favorite room in the house was the sunroom on the main floor. The views were breathtaking! The location to Pigeon Forge was about a 20 minute drive for us. I would book this cabin again on my next visit to the Great Smoky Mountains!
Beautiful valley view from the sunroom. We watched the sunrise from there sipping coffee and eating breakfast in the mornings. Each bedroom having it's own bathroom was a plus. The hot tub was wonderful. We we're out and about early most mornings so the location to the park was great and close to the areas of the park we wanted to visit.
Loved the cabin. It was perfect for my family. Very clean. Gorgeous view, loved the sunroom and deck. The game room was a lot of fun. Great communication with the owners. Will be back!!

Everything we needed!
This place is the easiest stay! Easy to get to - easy to enjoy! Very clean, comfy beds, beautiful views! A lot of details put into this place that lessen what you have to do to relax! Plenty of blankets, places to sit - and a lot of effort (like labeling light switches!) made by the hosts to ensure guests are able to enjoy their time! Thank you!
For our first time out in vacation as a family in a long time, this cabin felt right at home. More than anything the view was spectacular ! We would choose this cabin again for future trips. The process was somewhat confusing on our part but the owner made sure to keep in touch. They were very understanding, which we appreciate
-For our family it was really nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom.
-Having a couple of pods for the wash machine and dishwasher was nice.
-Sun room was our favorite room.
-We used the hot tub daily.
-Kids (ages 10 & 12) loved the game room.
-Easy access to National Park was really nice.
-Mother bear and cubs made an appearance on more than one occasion, which was cool (mid-May).
-Sunsets on the top deck were INCREDIBLE!
We loved our stay at the cabin; it was perfect for 4 adults and 3 toddlers. Very clean, cozy, and accurate to the description on Vrbo. We enjoyed all the amenities. Only suggestion is that the mattress in the bottom floor king suite should be replaced; it sags in the middle, causing whoever is laying on the mattress to roll into the middle and having to try to to sleep on a slope. A firmer mattress with adequate center support would fix this issue. Overall, excellent!
Wonderful cabin in quiet area close to Pigeon Forge and GSMNP
Our family had a wonderful stay at Sunset Haven. The cabin is located up the mountain from Wears Valley, so it does include a short (I'd say less than a 1/2 mi) drive up some typical mountain roads. Barring snow/ice, it would be doable for any vehicle. The cabin has a great floorplan and seems more spacious than the sq footage might indicate. There is a large sun porch on the main floor and on the lower level, a game room which opens to a screened porch with hot tub. We made the drive in to both PF and Gatlinburg from the cabin within 20-30 min. It also provides access to quieter areas of GSMNP, which is definitely a plus. Would highly recommend Sunset Haven and we'd definitely consider staying again!
Pictures don’t do justice to the property; this is one of the most unique, comfortable, appealing cabins we’ve ever visited—and the view is AMAZING! At every turn are placed such thoughtful details for convenience and comfort. The view of the mountains and Wears Valley below is like a travel magazine photo. And since the view faces west, the sunsets are incredible. From the very well equipped kitchen, to the nicely furnished rooms—all with very comfortable beds, to the inviting hot tub situated in a securely screened in deck area with that amazing view, to all the little convenient touches throughout, I can’t say enough about how positive our experience was. All four of us agree this is the best stay we’ve ever had in the Smokys and we’ve been coming for decades. Hope to stay again soon and many more times to come.
We are a family with teenagers in middle school and high school, and we vacation in Wears Valley every spring break to be in warmer weather and enjoy the mountains. This cabin exceeded all our expectations and is the best cabin we've stayed in over the last 10 years. There are no visible neighbors (trees block the view of the one neighbor) and the unobstructed mountain and valley views are incredible! The sitting room with the giant windows were a family treasure. The covered deck off the top floor is perfect in all weather and is completely private. The house is well stocked and ready for any sized family. We loved being just minutes away from the backdoor of the National Park, we could quickly get into the park any time of the day. Wears Valley is our favorite place in the Smokies and this cabin is our favorite cabin in all of Wears Valley! If this cabin is available, your family will love the privacy, the views, the feel of the cabin, the access to the Park, and the great beds for great sleep!
Overall the cabin fit our needs. Close to the park entrance and not that far from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The games in the lower level were a hit with my grandkids (9, 7 and 3) as well as the board games. Beautiful view out the rear of the cabin. We had the upper level and my daughter and son-in-law had the lower level with their kids. Plenty of bathrooms for all. Our two biggest complaints would be the regulation of the water temperatures in the showers. Very difficult to regulate between hot and cold. Also felt the kitchen could use some updating. New countertops and sink would help.
We were so happy we chose to stay at this property. It is right near the national park in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. It was convenient to Townsend locations and a short drive to activities in Gatlinburg but we were able to avoid congested areas by entering the back road to the park just a few minutes from the house. The road to the house is easy to find - we had no trouble with directions. The road up to the property is steep but fine to manage and the parking area in front of the house is flat and easy to access. The house itself is very pleasant and comfortable. It has a beautiful view of the valley that can be enjoyed from the decks and sun room. It was so nice to enjoy coffee on the deck each morning. We preferred to cook at the cabin rather than deal with restaurant crowds and the kitchen is stocked very well. Plenty of good dishes, pots and pans, knives etc are provided. The house was clean and the bedrooms were comfortable. Everything was just very pleasant and relaxing. My daughter loved the bunk room on the lower level. During the time we stayed at the house it was very quiet. We heard distant sounds of neighbors very rarely - usually the only sounds were birds and wind and rain. Everything was just as advertised in the listing. We did not need to contact the hosts for any issues during the stay but we did communicate beforehand and Yuko was so helpful and prompt sending information to help with check-in. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!
