“We absolutely loved this hotel! It was super quaint, clean, and in a great location. The owner was extremely friendly, commuicative and gave us great advice regarding our hiking excursion to the Somaria Gorge. This was our first trip to Greece and the islands. A couple of things that would've been helpful to know: 1. The hotel street is not accessable by car, so you can't drive up and drop off your luggage. 2. Parking was challenging as the streets in the town are blocked off from……

“Tolle kleine Anlage, gepflegt, sauberer Pool. Babypool überdacht. Zimmer ausreichend groß, tolle Terrasse. Bad etwas klein, aber heißes Wasser, guter Wasserdruck. Zimmerreinigung super. Frühstück viel Auswahl, zu bestimmter Uhrzeit fast zu wenig Sitzplätze. Parkplatz vor dem Hotel, abseits der Straße. Nachts ruhig. In der Umgebung viele Restaurants. Strandnah, Strand war ok. Wir würden wieder kommen.”

“The hotel is in a really nice area of Rethymno. The room was spacious and comfortable. Only downside was the breakfast, wasn’t what you’d expect at a 4star hotel.”

“The hotel is very clean, the area is nice, you have a bus station to Chania 3 mins away from the hotel. Did not try the nearby restaurants but you have a couple of options from what I’ve seen. The only complaint would be that you need mobile data since the Wi-Fi is very slow, but mobile data has good speed so I didn’t mind.”

“The owner was very friendly! He was always available and willing to help!! And very flexible when we wanten to change the date of reservation! It was no problem and he solved it in a minute!! Hé was so friendly that I feel ashamed that I forgot to pay the tourist tax!! Sorry sorry sorry”

“We had a wonderful week at Elizabeth Suites, Epas is a welcoming and helpful host who can never do enough to make sure your stay is a good one. The suite was spotlessly clean, the pool warm and plenty big enough to cool off in. The suites are located within easy walk of the beach, bus stops in the main town Chania and several local and big chain supermarkets. All in all the perfect place to enjoy local beaches and restaurants or choose to go into the lovely town. Just a perfect week in Crete! ”

“The flat was brilliant and not too distant from the old town - 10 minute walk. However when I arrived at the property there was no receptionist and a sign pointing to the e-reception. I rang the bell on the keypad and got no response. I finally found a phone number and got through to someone who gave me a code to access my key - it was a real pain to search for a number I could contact them on - they had contacted me by email the day before to ask for my arrival time, and could easily have given……

“We stayed at Portou House for 5 nights and had an excellent time. Very good location in Chania Old Town. Communication was great from start to finish with Julia being very responsive. We were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine for my Partner’s birthday which was a nice touch. The only feedback we would have is that there was no full length mirror - think it would be good to consider including in the rooms. Many thanks Julia and team at Portou House. ”

“The villa is a bit remote, but a great place. We took a few days just to stay there and relax in this beautiful place with wonderful view to the sea and the mountains. But all the sights in the west of Crete are also in good distance; we hiked the Samaria Gorge, made a beach trip to Elafonisi, visited the monastery Arkadi and the nearby beautiful Chania. In the house everything was perfect, the pool very refreshing and the terrace an awesome place to relax. The communication with our host Pon……

“Very clean hotel, daily room cleaning. Very welcoming and attentive staff. Magnificent flower garden very well maintained. Very nice pool area. The last day we had to leave very early in the morning for our return to the airport, and the manager prepared the breakfast buffet for us at 6:30 am instead of normally 8:00 am. I highly recommend, and I will be happy to come back if possible.”
