"I stayed for an extended period of time. The owner and his sons live on the property, but you won’t see them very much. The property is SO peaceful, quiet, and safe. They’ve been working to improve it and so there’s some renovations and things here and there, but nothing that would make you uncomfortable or disturb you. "The Fox House was a very cute, well-furnished, mid-1800's home updated for contemporary living. In fact, the house is historically the first in Taylor's Falls. Great windows that looked onto large trees. Well landscaped with good night lighting and plenty of outdoor areas to relax. The kitchen was well outfitted for cooking and had all anyone would need for a short term rental. Bed was comfortable and fireplace was a nice touch. The absence of a TV was most welcome. "The Lakeside Getaway was in a great location for a friends trip we planned. We chose it for the size of beds, and number of bathrooms, (3 adult couples' trip) in addition to its location close to our trip event plans. It is in a peaceful quiet neighborhood, and we regretted we could not take advantage of all it had to offer in terms of being near the water.
