Good, quiet location, close to the Botanical Gardens. Room was on the small side, but had everything that was needed. Free onsite parking was definitely a plus. No aircon nor fan, so the room was very hot. Dinner next door at Halifax Hall was very good, would highly recommend.

Excellent value for money in a quiet part of Sheffield. Spotlessly clean room, lovely staff. You only get one pastry per person for breakfast, so top up your protein in a second breakfast elsewhere.

I love staying at Jonas. Clean, helpful staff, very good mattress! But twice now, my biggest problem is noise at night. I had to ring reception at 3am to ask them to come and ask the people who had been talking very loudly for a couple of hours to stop as we couldn't sleep. Not sure whether they were in one of the kitchenettes or their rooms but there should be a noise disturbance policy across the property.

I must admit I was slightly wary of staying here after reading all the complaints about noise, but as it turned out, I had nothing to worry about! The hotel and surroundings were quiet - even during an England match! I suspect it depends on whether the students in neighbouring accommodation blocks are around, so perhaps factor that into your decision. But for relatively cheap accommodation, with breakfast included, you can't go far wrong with the Jonas!

It is very clean and tidy, really helpful and friendly staff. No hot drink facilities in the rooms but for the price its a great place to stay if you need somewhere basic just to sleep. I'll definitely recommend it and will be back again next time I'm in the area
