"Fun and chic boutique hotel with a delightful nautical theme! I really enjoyed the character and attention to detail and design. My room was very comfortable, although the wifi did not work well for streaming TV/movies on my laptop. I would add that the shower in my room was very small, which was okay for me, but might be an issue for larger guests; other rooms might be different. This is also not a very accessible building, for people with physical disabilities. Steps are unavoidable in a few places, and the old-fashioned elevator took considerable strength and maneuvering to get in and out of, especially with luggage. The lobby has a nice sitting area stockpiled with quality magazines, and I really appreciated the mini café that hooked me up with coffee on my way out the door. There is also a swanky bar and karaoke room, which I did not get to use, but looked super fun. In summary, this is a great choice if you prefer the charm of a unique designer hotel in a historical building over the standard American hotel with spacious rooms and zero character. Great location in downtown, and an easy walk to RISD/Brown campuses."
