“Nice hotel, not plush but clean, warm, great shower and very convenient location, straight opposite train station and only a short walk to the centre of Halifax.”

“Excellent hotel. Beautiful character room with good facilities and spotlessly clean. Very helpful and friendly staff, especially welcoming at check-in and although busy, they showed us to the room. Would definitely recommend, we will make it our go to hotel in North Yorkshire.”

“Room was spotlessly clean. Very friendly and courteous staff. This hotel has a very comfortable and friendly feel to it. The cooked breakfast is well worth the money. Table service and freshly cooked and unlike some buffet style breakfasts it is piping hot. We have stayed in other hotels in the area and this is our favourite and the adjoining Italian restaurant is a great place for dinner. We also appreciate the free parking. Just returned from a 4 night stay and looking forward to our next……

“Comfortable clean rooms.”

“Excellent for the price I paid. Rooms have recently been renovated and it showed. The only niggles were that the extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy and probably needs replacing (room 10) and there was no hot water: I tried to have a shower but couldn't: No matter how long you ran the tap for or in which position the water never got warm. Would definitely stay there again. Big thank you to Jamie who so very kindly let me check in early.”

“Once we had found the entrance which isn't that well sign-posted (my only complaint), we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and cleanliness of the room and the relative ease of parking (we only had to pay until 6pm and Sundays are free). Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise, given that the menu in the room only mentioned continental style but plentiful, good quality hot food was available. Finally, as we were visiting Halifax, the short walk to the train station was a bonus. Would……

“Clean room, plenty of easy on site parking, lovely efficient friendly lady on the reception. Do not pay for your parking on hotel.com, as I did, as I had to pay again at the venue. The receptionist explained that hotel.com do not have the facility to pay the private parking company, and I had to request a refund (from hotel.com). The receptionist advised me to always pay for the parking at the actual hotel.”
