「Limited parking ,comfortable cozy room there was a bit of a bad odour in the corridor outside the room no where to hang clothes, and shared bathroom but only staying overnight ,clean enough Ideal location when i go to gigs at The Piece Hall only a 5 minute walk away and only a 5 minute walk from the shops ,you let yourself in with a secure code.」

「We were visiting for a gig at Piece Hall and are so glad we chose to stay at this absolutely wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Halifax. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, polite and helpful and this continued for the duration of our stay. As it was such a nice day, we sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed drinks and food from the bar menu before heading into town for our concert. . Breakfast (extra) was also very good indeed. 「Moved from the bull to the shepherds rest as an upgrade prior to arrival. Out of 4 rooms (party of 4), rooms 10 and room 4 no heating. The bull may have better but I’d avoid the shepherds rest. Also none of the TVs worked in any of the 4 rooms and Wi-Fi password not shared. A shame as the rooms were fine even if the showers are a little small. Place was clean and obviously has been invested in. 」

「This an impotant historic property with fabulous grounds but has been upgraded to a clinical level. Very clean but no soul. Needs aome fwminine touches. Shelving, pictures, hooks etc. No retaurant facilities or breakfast. Basic but adequate」
