“Huggins Cottage is one of the loveliest places we've stayed, and by far the best cared for. We were made to feel welcome every step of the way, from booking to leaving. Very thoughtfully equipped kitchen, and house generally, with very comfortable beds. Bookshelves included a wealth of information about the area. Matthew and Laura, as well as being welcoming, were informative and helpful about what to see locally. It is a stunning area, many beautiful walks. For instance, up to Lee Hill is a……

“Ideal situation for our orienteering event. Everything we needed at the property but could do with some storage in the bedrooms for longer stays.”

“This is our 8th stay here. It's a lovely lodge in a peaceful, rural setting with a few other lodges surrounding it. It is really well equipped, comfortable an excellent find. We originally came for the steam railway that's nearby but our son lives close by so it's convenient for visiting. Jan and Paul are great hosts, nothing to much trouble and it's always spotless.”

“We was meant to stay here I booked a room with double & 2 singles, when I got the confirmation it stated 1 double 1 sofa bed the property made the mistake, after calling hotels.com to try to resolve I got nowhere, so I had no choice but to book another property. After booking another property I then get a call from this property saying they made a mistake. Hotels.com wouldn’t refund me. So I asked the property to refund me which was short by £20 odd pounds. So overall not a good experience ”

“This is a subdivided residential unit. It's small and does not have a table for eating. We found that it was missing some basic amenities like bedding for the second bed, hand soap and tea towels. There was also a party above us the night we stayed. The host was responsive on WhatsApp. I would not stay again.”

“The whole 'hotel' was not at all well kept. The decorating was shoddy to say the least. Whoever carried out the decorating is completely clueless - i could give many examples - all resulting in the actually cleanliness if the place coming into question. Not good at all. ”

“We arrived while the hotel was under construction so skips, unfinished work being carried out, the hotel does have character being an building inside does need attention carpets, replacement of spindles on the stairwell our room did need work in the bathroom (toilet flush loose new grouting needed ) and the floor boards very noisy when walking on them ( making it annoying for the people underneath) the garden does need attention (looking tied) the staff were friendly and the lady at reception……

“Only booked Wednesday to stay Thursday night and got an exceptional deal breakfasts brilliant. Very grand and leisure centre very good pool warm and gym good . could definitely recommend We were upgraded and had large bedroom with 4 poster bed. Very good to do the Royal Airforce Museum at Shifnal that also was excellent. The day after we went to National Memorial Arboretum at Staffordshire well worth and visit and these two places were ffree of charge. ”
