"The cottage is cozy but it is a bit more run down than the photos show. When we got there there was mouse droppings everywhere, over all the cutlery, stove, piles in the living room couch and carpet…way more than seemed possible if the places had been cleaned in the last 5 days (we cleaned it all when we arrived and didn’t see any new droppings over the next 2 days). "The stay was very good in terms of the scenery and location. It was close to a lot of amenities and activities. The host was very nice and friendly. The issues we faced with this location is that it was on a marina and it seemed more as though we were a part of the marina verses really enjoying the seclusion of water and forest. There were no utensils such as a spatula and barbecue was dilapidated with holes on bottom. Towels were minimum and the backyard had weeds growing out of it . They had...

"The rental was in a great location and had everything we needed. The host was very accommodating. The property was perfect for our larger group! "

"The cottage is very nicely set up with everything that you could need. It’s very clean and well-maintained.It’s a little far from any stores and can give a sense that it’s very secluded. The only place to go for a walk is on the gravel road. We came there to go fishing and found that there were not a lot of bites at all. While we did catch a few, it was not a very good lake for a fishing trip, which was our purpose. If you are not going for fishing then the lake is beautiful for swimming, etc....

"Simple 3 bedroom cottage with everything you need for a quiet getaway. Cozy. Sandy beach entrance for children. Would recommend water shoes to swim. Comfortable distance to Bracebridge or Port Carling for stocking up. "
