“Sentral beliggenhet. Veldig god frokost. Varmt rom selv om vi satte termostat på minimum (-3). Selv om det ikke er daglig renhold, bør håndkler byttes og søppel søppelkasser tømmes daglig. Vi opplevde de aller fleste av personalet som svært serviseinntilte.”

“It is an historic hotel with a spectacular view to the lake. The room is large and cosy. It is just 3 minutes' walk to Voss station, therefore it is very convenient for us to catch the train to Bergen. The breakfast is impressive as we can enjo the lake view while having the tasty food. It may be a little bit difficult to find the reception as the door is small and open to the railway.”

“We stayed for two nights, before the ski-ing season had begun. There were building works outside on the acces road side but our bedroom faced away from them and looked up the slopes. Our bedroom was very comfortable and warm. Breakfasts were good with a good choice of options and the dinners were excellent. Hotel staff were friendly, approachable and efficient when it came to dealing with our queries. I am not a skier so I cannot comment on what a ski stay might be like, but it was a good base……

“Flott beliggenhet ut mot Vangsvatnet og på randen av bykjernen. Hele Voss' restaurant- og uteliv innen gangavstand. Hotellet er slitent og lytt, men sovekomforten ble god for vår del. Fint med rom mot Vangsvatnet, og ikke mot gata. Bra frokostbuffet, men mye støyende og rotete bussturister.”

“Bei Ankunft in der Ferienwohnung mussten wir feststellen, daß beinahe alle Schubladen in der Kommode und die großen Schubladen in der Küche abgeschlossen waren. Der Wandschrank war zur Hälfte voll mit Bettwäsche, obwohl man Bettwäsche und Handtücher selbst mitbringen musste. Das finde ich nicht gastfreundlich! Wir waren mehrere Wochen unterwegs und hatten viel Gepäck und hätten das gerne ausgepackt. Außerdem verstehen wir nicht, daß man die Wohnung selbst Putzen und spätestens um 10 Uhr……

“The cabin is beautiful with a beautiful view... HOWEVER... Be warned that Google maps does not take you to the location. We were lucky enough that even though it was late when we got there, a gentleman in the house near where the gps took us was able to somewhat lead us in the right direction. We attempted to call the owners multiple times but no one ever answered and never returned our calls at any point during the stay. “Property a little rundown but in process of renovation. Staff excellent and very helpful. Dining and lounge area's nice and new. Food excellent and very cheap compares to other hotels.”

“Era presentato come monolocale con angolo cottura, quindi, non essendoci ristoranti o locali in cui poter mangiare nei dintorni, ci siamo procurati del cibo da cucinare. Appena accesa la piastra a induzione, si è sentito un botto, come un rumore di contatore che salta. Da quel momento non abbiamo più avuto a disposizione né la piastra, né il frigo che evidentemente erano collegati. Ce la siamo cavata fortunatamente con il nostro fornello da campeggio, senza il quale non avremmo potuto mangiare.……
