“While the room was spacious and clean the unstaffed hotel can feel inhospitable and unwelcoming. The notice that you’ll be removed from your room if you have someone over to do little more than wait for an Uber resulted in an uncomfortable and awkward situation. The lock code was obvious when assigned and troublesome not working within several tries, the code to the ice and water also stopped working on our second day, resulting in no water or ice on our second night.”

“Don’t understand all of the glowing reviews. Room was tiny, bathroom walls had white stains all over and toilet paper stuck to them, shower floor was level with the rest of the bathroom floor so the water just flowed across the whole bathroom, which was very unsafe. Neighborhood didn’t feel very safe. Really glad this was just a quick stay for us.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful plaza! The location is perfect for in town shopping and dining as well as only 20 to 30 minutes away from waterfront dining and Folly Beach. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. One of the mornings we experienced lack of hot water for showers, contacted the staff at the front desk (spoke with KeKe) and she immediately contacted maintenance to resolve the problem. “This Courtyard is nice enough, but I think there’s a management issue as the staff across departments seem poorly trained and unhappy. Despite the “do not disturb” tag, housekeeping rapped on the door on many mornings. The room keys only worked for 2-3 days before needing to see the grumpy front desk people about getting them reset. The bartender was unable to find wine without help, despite there being pictures of them hanging up and matching the menu. I don’t blame any of the individuals, but……

“We chose it cuz decided to go to SC at the last minute and there weren't so much choices for us. Generally, staffs there were okay but it wasn't worth the price for a motel at such condition. Pro: Good location, you could get there easily when going down from the highway. Con: The walls were pretty thin so we could hear people next door talking clearly when it's loud enough.”
