“The location and the view were amazing! Such an abundance of wildlife! Deer, heard a fox, and the birds! Heron, ducks, geese, bluebirds, eagles- and as we were leaving found the eagle nest, next to the house as they came screeching in. Beautiful dark sky for star gazing. The house is good, beds comfy, had all the amenities and supplies. Struggled a bit with the wall heaters ended up using the portable heaters. It was a cold weekend. “Great location for college trips”

“We stayed for seven days. It was uncomfortable to only have two forks two spoons. We had to wash every time we ate. It felt like the space had been sitting a while. There were lots of spiderwebs. The fans had a coat of dust on them. That was sickening. This is my first negative review ever! I appreciated the beautiful Patuxent river and the quick response and communication with the owner. We feel like we just didn’t get the most bang for our buck. It was a splurge for us in an expensive room and……

“This hotel is currently (5/7/26) being renovated. This is probably the first hotel I stayed at that I didn’t feel like I needed to check for cleanliness. I wouldn’t have felt weird walking barefoot if I had needed to. The room was spacious and clean. Full, large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and hand soap were on board.
