“The staff is amazing. Extremely helpful and great food suggestions. I am having a hard time finding the words that would describe how amazing they were. My kids loved the play area, they could have spent hours there if we would have let them. My only suggestion/complaint: Please update the beds. Felt like old hard pillow tops.”

“We had a wonderful stay over Labor Day weekend and this was a perfect location to stay. Enjoyed the peddle boat and outdoor picnic tables. Beautiful sunrise in the morning. Close enough to hit the waterfalls too. Very friendly owners and great local pizza at Trout Lake tavern.”

“The house was perfect for us! Easy to find, and in a great location! The host has thought about everything and is very accommodating! We will stay here again! We had planned on snowmobiling but with the lack of snow we brought our side by side and still had a great tkmr!”

“The home is basically split into 2 halves, with the entrance/mud room being the divider. The first half has two bedrooms containing 7 beds and a full bathroom. The second half of the home is the master bedroom with full bath, living room, and kitchen/dining area. The two sides can only interact by passing through the mud room and up the stairs of the coat locker area. This actually worked phenomenally for us. We're two guys there on business with some hiking mixed in. We each get tons of privacy……

“Our family of 4 stayed at this house for a short getaway to ride the trails around Newberry. The location has easy access to the trails by sled, as well as a gas station. Being in town, restaurants and grocery stores are nearby and available. The way the driveway is situated makes it easy to pull your trailer in for loading and unloading your equipment. The house was cozy and there was a nice mud room off the back for all your gear. The host was responsive and accommodating. We would stay here……

“Clean and great for snowmobiling”

“It was very clean and communication with the host was quick and friendly. We loved the location and the extra boats we received. The lake is clean and fire pit was nice. We loved watching the ducks and hummingbirds everyday. It's definitely a great place to go!”

“This is a nice small cabin with a great view of the lake. We stayed for one weekend off season but I am sure it is a great place to vacation in the summer. It has everything you need, very clean, and the hosts go out if their way to make sure you are comfortable. It is an upgrade from camping but if luxury is your style, it isn’t for you.”

“The one-room cabin was overall wonderful. The view of the Trout Lake is beautiful, and the cabin is centrally located for any destination you want to get to. The host was polite, and answered every question or concern we had almost immediately. The little heater in the bathroom was a big plus. Towels and blankets were plentiful and the entire cabin was cleaned with some cooking utensils which made making dinner easy. Overall amazing stay!”

“We took our Grand Kids to see some of my wife's heritage and snow. It didn't snow late December. The dogsledding adventure turned into dogs pulling an atv. It was still fun. We substituted tubing to see the nearby parks with waterfalls and a pully barge over a springs. Ice skating in the Sault Ste.Marie was a Great time. The Movie Theater was very Nostalgic. The Village of Newberry is a very Nice place.”

“Good accommodations for the price. We used this house as a base for road trips each day so we were only there to sleep. Well stocked with supplies and kitchen needs. The attic bedrooms were very hot but we made do with the multiple fans provided. The house had a "rustic/cabin" atmosphere. NOTE: The toilet in the front bathroom leaks leaving a wet floor.”

“Honestly just a great spot, nice and quiet no complaints was very nice inside and one of the best short term rentals we have ever stayed in.”

“We rented for a snowmobiling long weekend for 3 couples, and the place was perfect for that purpose. The issues we had were very small and insignificant (e.g., no basket in the coffee maker). I very much recommend this place, particularly for snowmobiling.”

The hosts were very responsive. They live right across the street if anything happened to come up. Nothing did, but it was good to know.
