“They said there was no breakfast or lunch available upon check in, but then changed their story after a day or two. Unfortunately the nearest restaurant was 30 miles away. We were far out in the boondocks and had to drive to Marsh Harbor to eat. We were the only guests in this hotel. The food was good once we discovered it was actually fully available days later. “This was our 5th stay at Captain's View for a couple of men chasing bonefish in the Bahamas. That should tell you alot right there. It's a very comfortable and functional house with good air conditioning. The view from the front porch is exceptional in my opinion. The Long Dock out front is a fantastic local attraction. Cherokee is a nice quiet little town with a couple of stores. Glenn, the owner, does a great job keeping the house in shape. The bathroom has been recently remodeled. ……

“Great stay at Danette's house in Cherokee. House was very clean and well stocked. Checkin and checkout was a breeze, easiset we have ever had with a house rental. A/C worked well, beds were comfortable and Danette was quick with replies when we messaged. Location in fantastic, just a couple minute walk to the Long Dock and Cherokee Sound. Sunsets are amazing at the dock and kayaking around Cherokee sound was great. The community of Cherokee is quiet, low-key and welcoming. The Cherokee Food Fair……

Best location in Casuarina Point for adventuring. Some highlights of activities: Having our own boat out the back door. Long walks on a beautiful beach. Superlative flyfishing for bonefish with Marty Sawyer out of Cherokee. Visiting with a local Manatee. Snorkeling, fishing, and lobstering with Walker Wong from Casuarina Point. Thanksgiving……

“The property and house were beautiful and well-maintained. The power tends to go out on the island frequently so sometimes it was not ideal for cooking…Shallow water here, which is good for fishing, but not so much for swimming. We floated in shallow water most often. ”
