Fascinating house with rich history and beautiful views

This house had endless character and charm as our family came together. It was more than spacious for 10 people, and the accommodations were perfectly fine. This house probably is not known for being spotlessly clean, or modern as it is older. But the history and charm absolutely makes up for it. This house would be hard for young kids as it has stairs, and a balcony that a small child could slip through. Overall beautifully charming home, with a stunning view.

Crow’s Nest

Great property in the perfect location for our fishing trip. We had 8 adults and 2 kids and had plenty of space! The kitchen had an array of cooking supplies, mugs, cups, small wares, and silverware. We loved the views from the deck and the crows nest! Listening to the waves crash at night was so relaxing!

Wonderful long weekend

Our extended family stayed here with us over Labor Day weekend. We all fit comfortably and enjoyed the quirkiness of the home. It is very fun for our children and adults alike. We would stay in this home again. However, we could have used some additional pillow cases and towels.

Great place for big family

The kids lives all the fun places to explore in the house. The view from most of rye bedrooms was pretty and could hear the ocean. It is not oceanfront by my standards. No walking to the beach anywhere.

Very fun unique house

LOVE THIS HOUSE!!!

This was our third stay at The Crow's Nest! Every time we've stayed has been a delight! The house is so quaint and interestingly decorated. The number of rooms makes it a great place for family and friend gatherings. The beds are SUPER comfortable for a wonderful night's sleep, lulling into dreamland with the sound of the crashing waves. At the Crow's Nest you are close to al the fun of Newport's Old Town and not far away from crabbing fun in Waldport and the quaintness of Yachats. Enjoy your time here!!!

Annual music retreat

This South Beach home was a beautiful place for our group to visit and play music together; sometimes from the deck facing the ocean, sometimes in front of the lovely rock fireplace. The kitchen accommodated cooking for our group well. All enjoyed beach walks. This home was a gracious space to gather in.

Nautical-themed Rental has Room for Large Groups and Maintenance

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: With some maintenance the Crow's Nest could be the perfect rental. The location is beautiful and the sunsets everyday are picture perfect. So much room is available for board games and meals, and easy access to the beach is a wonderful luxury. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and silverware for large groups. The window seats were a favorite reading and napping spot. The showers are small, but it is a good incentive to conserve water. Enough beds for everyone, and the mattresses were surprisingly comfortable. The personal touch, a collection of guest sign in books, adds charm to the nautical theme throughout this large house. Downsides and items for maintenance: 1. Toaster is broken and will smoke up immediately. DO NOT USE IT.2. Downstairs bathroom ceiling is missing panels, letting anyone using the shower to see into the upstairs bathroom. Pipes are exposed. 3. Garbage from previous renters was next to the garbage cans in the driveway, instead of inside the overflow garbage cans 4. First Mate's Cabin room has a leaking window

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: it wasn't that kind of party :) mostly just a bunch of old friends getting together to send off our last bachelor after 46 years of being single. The house is amazing! we all enjoyed the ship theme and all of the old books and pictures. the view is magnificent and there were plenty of beds to accommodate 10 healthy middle aged fellas. There were a couple of issues in the bathrooms, 1 had a broken towel rack and another looked to be mid construction due to an overhead leak. its about 3 miles from the bayfront which is kind of a pain since there are no Uber/Lyft cars and the taxi company had no interest in picking us up, thank goodness for the DD. 9 out of 10 would recommend to friends and strangers!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great property, thanks. My only criticism is that the gas grill could really stand to be replaced (especially given that the grill is listed as a perk in the property description) and providing an extra cylinder of propane for the grill would be nice. We intended to grill a bunch while there, but didn't because the grill was in rough shape and there wasn't much propane left in the tank.

There were 5 of us (our mom and four of us girls) It was the best place we could have picked - the view was impressive. We spent a lot of time out on the deck listening and watching the waves from the Ocean. This house was perfect in everyway for our group. The house was very clean and well stocked. Everything you would need to make your stay special. Loved the interior - its just as described. We will stay again and might bring our children and grandchildren next time.

Beautiful view!

My family and I enjoyed our visit to the Crow's Nest. We had a beautiful view of the ocean. Well maintained but rugged trail down to the beach was worth navigating; it was like walking through a forested tunnel. The home was spacious and had delightful, thoughtful touches throughout. Our only problem that we had was immediately solved by a phone call to Oregon Beach Vacation. We had been given an incorrect key code and they provided us the correct code. The home is close to South Beach Park and Newport.

Enjoyable stay with family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a beautiful location with plenty of room inside. But it is an older home and in need of maintenance. Had trouble with the plumbing system on the last day. Also bathroom fans need a thorough cleaning to prevent mold.

Nice get away

The place was great. Comfortable beds, great view of the ocean, very clean and cozy. Bring your own bbq the one there is a rust bucket. No cell phone service so stuck with wifi which was ok. I was hoping for beach access but there is non and wanted somewhere to go so I could bring a 19ft boat but boats aren't allowed and even if someone did it's just not a good idea the way the driveway is configured. Oddly the last night we were there the water turned off after midnight so we had no use of utilities for any cleaning. Took awhile to reach someone on the phone but she was real nice about it. The kids loved the place and would like to go back. Except for a few hiccups I enjoyed the place and would rent it again.
