「We were met and welcomed by our host and the house was well positioned, comfortable, clean and in general well furnished and maintained, however, there were some deficiencies in the kitchen ( no oven gloves, no hand towel, eclectic selection of half finished boxes of tea) and the downstairs toilet was in a poor state with ceiling wall paper falling down, paintwork scratched and toilet seat loose. 「While the house is very large, spacious, and historic, some of it seemed a bit worn. For example, the carpets on the first floor and stairs needed a good cleaning and/or to be replaced. The bathrooms and kitchens were very nice, but the rest of the house did not have as polished of an appearance as depicted in the pictures.
