“The lodge was perfect for us (5 in total). It was very well furnished (very comfortable beds and settee) and the kitchen had all the utensils needed. The owner was very quick to answer our messages. The lodge is very well positioned to go onto the coast path east and west - only 10 or 15 mins walk to it on lanes that are limited to 20 or 30 mph. The lodge is also only 15 mins drive to Salcombe, with an easy long stay car park. The owner recommended the Salcombe crab fest, which was a great day……

“We would not visit Dartmouth again due to the difficulty parking. The Park and Ride was a nightmare, we cannot believe that cards were not acceptable and the parking app was problematic. In the chalet the seating opposite the TV was extremely uncomfortable. We would have appreciated instructions on how to work the electric oven as we are used to gas cooking. Otherwise very well equipped.”

“Beautiful location and view from outside the room, sat on the bench outside most evenings to take it in. Property clean and modern, excellent facilities.”

“Adequate basic accommodation however our stay was ruined by interaction with host, who was rude, defensive and argumentative, instructing us to read the fine print when we requested a fresh roll of toilet paper at the commencement of our stay. This property requires byo toilet paper. Interior is tired and dated. You need a car here and coins for electricity meter.”

“We stayed 2 nights whilst visiting family so basically just slept here rather than spend any time in it but it's a lovely little chalet for that purpose, very very clean. Everything you need they've thought of and provided. Tea, coffee, biscuits, shower gel etc and nice brands, not basic brands.. They even left treats for the dog which he loved. The grounds were also great for the dog to have a run around. Negatives: Needs a decent shower, the shower was not good and it definitely needs……

“The chalet was clean warm and cosy, Maggie the host was very helpful. The chalet was slightly remote but the views made up for it. If you like walking it’s ideal.”
