Perfect Cape home away!

The photos were accurate. The home is just as it looks in the photos. No surprises. It was cozy, homey and immaculately maintained. I don't know what the neighborhood would be like in season, but my stay was quiet and relaxed. It was an easy walk to beautiful Red River Beach. There are many restaurants and shops close by. I hated to leave!

Did not meet our expectations

Cupboards were so full of miscellaneous stuff like 20 wine glasses, 3-4 full sets of plates and more left us no room to put any of our supplies away. Bedroom with two twin beds, the door sticks so bad you either had to play tug of war with it or you couldn’t get out of it. The propane tank was on empty so we didn’t use it. The futon is lumpy as anything and the couch has no bottom support. We found 20 nails in the driveway. After reporting they were very quick to send someone out with a magnet to make sure we didn’t catch a nail in our tires. We did find more after that. The sun porch is nice and is comfortable. The shower has a second plastic shower curtain over the window. No matter what, you had to keep pushing it away or you have them stuck to your arms. 12 inch space in between to shower. Hot water tank is insufficient. Two people cannot shower right after each other and you have to wait an hour for more hot water. 1/2 bathroom was so small only a child can move comfortably in there. The top rack of the dishwasher was broken. We fixed it so we could use it. The backyard patio was nice as well as having the hoses to spray off our fishing gear. We have stayed at other VRBO homes. One was sold and the other torn down for a rebuild and was not ready. Will not stay there again.

This house is in a great location but needs some updating.

The screened in porch and proximity to Red River Beach are the best aspects of this property. Not so great things are: hard to cook in the kitchen due to limited and very old cookware and utensils, 2 out of 3 bedrooms are outdated and need a spruce up, too many knickknacks in the living room and very old furniture and pillows.

The perfect beach house

The house was exactly as described. The space in the house was perfect for our family of five to be together and get a little quiet time too. The second bathroom, outdoor shower and laundry made our stay much easier. We had a wonderful family vacation.
