“My husband and I were traveling through the UP and were looking for different places to stay as we made our way to Copper Harbor. The location was beautiful and serene. Full of amenities that we look for when stay somewhere. Clean and comfortable, the kitchen has everything we needed to cook our meals. Our stay was only 2 nights and the weather did not cooperate for us to lounge in the yard by the campfire but having access to everything to enjoy the lake was great. Jason and Misty were very……

“Can’t rave enough about the accommodations at Stella’s Hideaway! Everything was well stocked, clean and comfortable beds. The views were great, the rocks were even better! The location was perfect for checking out mine tailings and heading up to copper harbor. Calumet has a really tasty coffee shop and cute stores. We stayed for 4 nights and found lots of agates and even some lake worn copper to add to our ever growing rock collection. Sifted through mine tailings and found some greenstone……

“My family stayed at Lola's for Michigan Tech graduation weekend. It was very comfortable and they thought of everything to make our stay memorable. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a home away from home when visiting the Houghton/Hancock area of the UP.”

In between our exploration of the area, we found respite from a passing storm and some family fun as well. Modern conviences with a little old charm mixed in made our trip memorable. “We stayed in mid May, 2024, guests were myself, my wife, and our dog. This cabin was fantastic for our trip to the Keweenaw peninsula. It feels very private, you have tons of space, the property is gorgeous, and it's an easy drive into town for meals in the evening or supplies. The sauna was a particular treat! We really enjoyed staying here and would absolutely stay again if we're ever back in the area!”

Plenty of room, clean house with everything you need to feel at home. My only recommendation is to get some actual bed pillows instead of the decorative ones that are on the beds.”

“Overall the house was decent. Very spacious and sprawling. There was no possible way we would have been able to fit sled trailers there, although told we could, 3 trucks didn’t even fit comfortably. Cleanliness could have been better. Bathrooms were “old dirt” dirty. Kitchen was pretty bad especially the fridge/ freezer. Biggest disappointment was no functioning hot tub. It had been broken over a year but still listed as an amenity. That said, we would possibly stay again- but not if planning a……
