It was a really beautiful place. We went mid week so it was lovely and quiet. The owner and the manager make you feel very welcome. Plenty of beautiful walks to go on and the beach was just a short walk away.
Very peaceful. All you need is provided (in the way of cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery, washing up stuff etc), baskets of logs are available to purchase on site. Small shower/toilet block but it's enough. Smashing location, in woods, close to water/beach, pubs etc.
Had a great stay, place is so lovely and peaceful and lovely and walk to the water and the park. The kitchen facilities are great and the shower and toilets were immaculate. Thank you for a great stay
This place is a hidden gem there is so much to do right outside your tent the setting is beautiful and there was everything you would need provided the tents themselves were so spacious and clean we cannot wait for our next visit
I specifically booked the type of cabin that I did as the Hotels.com website stated that this had a private bathroom. However I was informed on arrival none of the glamping pods had private bathrooms, all had to use the communal facilities. As someone with disabilities this was alarming for me. I had to visit the toilet twice in the night, at, both times having to walk from our cabin to the toilet block and there were men hanging around at 2.15am. It was a difficult walk for me. Had I known there was no private toilet facilities in the accommodation I would not have booked it.
The pod looked large in the photos when booking, but was tiny in reality.
We were informed we had a fridge allocated in the kitchen, but it transpired 'our' fridge was shared between 3 pods, and on arrival it was stuffed full, with no room for any of our food.
The pod was horrendous, it was dirty, the beds were so uncomfortable and creaked so loudly every time anyone so much as breathed, none of us slept more than 10 minutes the whole night.
The chain holding the cooking grill above the tripod bbq outside our cabin broke towards the end of the cooking, resulting in all the food falling into the flames below. By the time we managed to rescue it, difficult due to the chain being in the fire and as such burning hot (silly us, we forgot our asbestos gloves!) the food ended up being burnt, almost beyond being edible.
This was not a happy event for any of us., and it was overpriced for what we got!
The only reason we havent given 5 stars, is because we found the site very loud especially after 11pm which it states in there rules. Sadky this didnt deter some of the people staying around are tent. (Not being a kill joy, but at 11pm which young kids, you'd expect loud music to be switched off, and unruly kids screaming to be told to hush).
Other than that, the tent was amazing, the facilities were alot better than we were expecting and we where greeted by the hostess on arrival, we could have asked for much more really.
Basically, it all depends on who else is using the site while your staying (pot luck) but well worth giving it ago.

Disliked: Staff & service
Very upset about allegations made by the proprietor after leaving. Tried to make me pay for an extra night because the tent needed 'airing' due to the alleged use of cannabis.
Really nice place....great service....could do with a bit of a tidy up from left over bbqs upon arrival...., lovely tent

Good overall experience, but requires some work.
Nice family campsite, small, great location in the middle of a lovely park, and a friendly owner, but a bit difficult to find - better signage required. Toilet/shower blocks were grim - dirty floors (though it was raining the first day, so most of that was due to tracked-in mud, was better the next morning), cramped and mouldy shower cubicles, with a lot of hair in plughole. However, nothing insurmountable - and let's face it, you're not exactly expecting the Ritz when camping, are you?! Tent was very clean inside, but had a lot of mildew on the walls - needs a deep clean if possible. Decking outside had some sagging and cracking floorboards, which could do with some attention. Loved the location, enjoyed the surrounding park and fantastic playground a 2 min stroll away. Good base to explore Southampton/Portsmouth/Isle of Wight. Affordable and family friendly, with nice firepit/BBQ at each tent and room to run around. Kitchen cabin a good addition, though beer and yogurts were taken from our stash in the communal fridge - make sure to keep yours in a named bag or something. Beds were relatively comfortable, electric sockets and lamp welcomed. Crockery/cutlery/pots/pans and tea/coffee available for use by all campers. Overall, enjoyed by all in our party, especially the children, will likely come back again in the future.
Great venue in the country park with park and shore within a 2 minute walk from the site. About 15 or so tents in the field and we’ll spaced out. Very friendly staff to welcome us and explain the set up. Kitchenette very useful with cutlery, crockery, pans, microwave, fridges and kettles so you could travel light if you wanted to. Beds were quite comfy and having electricity in the tent was great for plugging in a fan as it was a particularly hot time when we stayed. We would certainly stay there again if visiting the area.

Loved it shame it was just a stop over will definitely be back
The tent smelled of sick and looks like it is covered in mould with the amount of moisture that it holds overnight inside the tent. This was very apparent as our pillows and sleeping bags felt damp overnight too.
The toilet / shower block is small and dirty .. lots of old clothes, soap containers, etc everywhere and the electric showers went hot to cold to hot and finally just gave up. Very strict 10am departure time too which means an early start. Not really our thing as it was all a bit tired, old and unclean.
No where to check in. No staff on site. Received quite a descriptive text message prior to arrival. Took pillows and duvet with us as this is what was stated on the website. A basket of wood was there however, nothing to light the fire with (my expectations or owners?!) Shower block was filthy and no toilet paper. Quoted tea and coffee making facilities. ..turns out this is a kettle in a hut with a box of tea bags on the side!! Again...filthy. The log burner hadn't been cleaned out prior to our arrival and had to text owner to find out what to use to remove old embers...again my expectations or owners? !!! Beds however was comfortable and the park is beautiful. A lot of money spent for 1 evening
