“This was a great place to take a break from our AB&B stays. The property is gorgeous. The bed were great. We both got a good nights sleep. The room was a nice size. An ice machine would have been the one thing that would have made this perfect. Oh yes and the breakfast was one of the best in our last 10 weeks of travel.”

“Stayed 1 night in a “deluxe” room, the experience started well with the unusual arrival via a short ferry and the drive through the private island, but sadly the luxury experience ended as soon as we had parked up and headed for check-in. Little did we know that the hotel was largely booked out by a huge wedding party, to even get to reception required us to gatecrash through their “private” BBQ held on the lawn in front of hotel. We were looking forward to a quiet stay, but as we went out for……

“We stayed here with four young children and the hotel was very accommodating to provide us with interconnecting rooms, we booked two triple rooms. The food and service was excellent and the children loved the large and very clean pool facilities.”

“We had an amazing time,the surroundings are just incredible,so beautiful and peaceful.My family really enjoyed the barn and we played board games,lit a fire which was fabulous.The option to BBQ also.We had such fun.Our huts were just gorgeous,everything was spotlessly clean,the bed was so comfortable and the bedding was to a very high standard.We took a stroll through the meadow and had a turn in the paddle boat on the the water on the grounds,so much fun.The hosts really take great care of this……

“This is a wonderful B&B, with amazing views. Our room was spacious and comfortable; Des and Susan were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. Great choices for breakfast, freshly cooked Irish breakfast and lovely porridge too. Plenty of local fresh fruit and honey. Good location for Waterford. Would highly recommend Samuels Heritage B&B.”

“Room had AC which is rare for Ireland, glad we had it during July heatwave. There is a small lift, elevator, to easily get luggage upstairs to the rooms. The attached restaurant pub on the first floor has lots of character; it being a former monastery, 300 yrs old. Food was excellent. Beds were comfortable. Setting was quiet. Plenty of parking in large parking lot next to building. We would enjoy staying here again.”

“My most favorite stay in Ireland! From the moment you arrive it’s service service service. The staff are so accommodating and so service focused. The place is immaculate. It’s adorable and you feel like you walked onto a movie set. The room was super comfortable & spacious with everything that I needed. Great bed & very quiet. I highly recommend this property. “Amazing deal. Matty is an incredible host and went above and beyond to make our stay great. Can't recommend enough as a base to explore Kilkenny and surrounding area, it's a super peaceful and tranquil area out in the country. Apartments themselves were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Make sure to get a drink at the bar while you're here! Folks there are very friendly.”

“Overall experience was nice that the surroundings and leisure club are pretty good. The thing we didn't expect is that there are some stairs going down to the room that we need to carry the luggage ourselves, which is not notified when booking. Also the air smells moldy in the corridor downstairs. But the room itself is tidy and clean.”
