It is very close to the beach so we were able to go several times and walk to the boardwalk. "My fiancé and I recently came to town for a doctors appointment and were searching for a dog-friendly spot to crash with our two pups. The Sandcastle did not disappoint. Located in walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, and the beach, we really enjoyed our two night stay here. "My husband, dog, and I got away for the weekend just a bit before beach season. We got lucky with great weather! Our favorite eats came from Seaworthy Kitchen & Bar (awesome mac & cheese) and Kate's Pancake house (Sweet Potato Bliss Pancakes omg). We spent a lot of time beaching at Freeman Park and walking the trails at Carolina Beach State Park. Everything seems very family and dog friendly in the area.
