Your Perfect Stay in Spokane

An updated first floor apartment in the middle of the Spokane South Hill. Updated, with hardwood floors, a fun retro kitchen, 55" 4k tv with bluray/roku and a king bed with memory foam mattress. Walk across the street to coffee, sushi, ice cream, bakery, cafes and much more. A perfect landing spot in Spokane.

Lots of natural light and ambiance. Work desk in bedroom.

  • Bing Crosbys family moved from Tacoma, Washington to Spokane, Washington in 1906 when he was 3 years old. The family rented a home for the first several years prior to building this one from a kit in 1911. It is located just north of the Gonzaga University Campus. The house is 1,350 square feet and has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is now run as a museum which is open everyday but Sunday with free admission.

It was fine. It’s a little hard to find… in the alley . It’s an old house that’s been made into small units. The bed was not comfortable at all. But the place was clean and it worked for the few nights we stayed in Spokane.

Good location, but disappointed

We had a rough start since the cleaning people were still there, so not able to get in when scheduled. Waited an hour, and still couldn't get in. However our host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Issues included no dresser in the bedroom, lightbulb out in bedroom, dark under-stairs closets, plugs not working in bathroom, very slippery bathtub. Since we are older this was a problem and had to buy a bathmat just to take showers. No rail on front steps (again a challenge for us). Biggest issue was that the laundry facilities were not in the unit. Had to go to a building behind the house into the basement where the cleaning people did their laundry. Did not want to leave our clothes there so ended up taking them to our family's home. Not a place we would stay again despite the hosts being extremely responsive and nice. Recommend for younger folks with more mobility.

Dated but very clean. Charming apt.

The neighborhood was good, felt safe. The kitchen faucet was hooked up backwards than what I was used to ( the hot/cold) and the kitchen sink draining was slow. Biggest issue was upstairs neighbors were really noisy. Could hear voices and footsteps late into the night and early morning hours. Apt was charming but a bit dated. But very clean and host available.

The host were very accommodating. Flexible and willing to work with you to adjust bookings as you may need.. Fast responses and very fair/affordable cost that adequately matches the space you rent. Clean and stocked with everything you need. Laundry area on site available for guest use. Would absolutely stay again

Great Location on South Hill

The place has a great location. The owners communicated well. The bed was a little firm but that's just us. The kitchen is retro but that adds to the charm. Would come back here again.

Good for a hospital visit

Every footstep of the upstairs neighbors could be heard. Gratefully, they were considerate. The parking for #A is awkward and dangerously tight when another car parks in front of the entrances. The neighborhood itself was not noisy, pleasant and convenient for visiting a relative in the hospital. The pull out bed would benefit from having a mattress pad and its own pillow.

Lovely location

The property was close to a beautiful park. It’s an older apartment building and had a musty smell which my kids didn’t like. The back area was cute as well as the front porch. It was kind of tricky to find using the google map. One complaint is that the toilet water ran loudly for long periods of time. That was annoying.

Smells Like Cat Pee

Nice little spot, but the carpets and soft furnishing (like the sofa) smell powerfully of cat urine and have quite a bit of fur on them. Everything else was pretty good, but the odor is a serious deal-breaker for me.

We stayed at this property overnight to break up a long road trip. It was so refreshing to rest for a few hours in this clean, cute, and comfortable spot. Communication was very prompt and clear. The directions to the location were very easy to understand. The air conditioning worked well and was appreciated. Would definitely stay again!

Charm and convenience

Overall we liked staying here. Great little places to eat nearby and nice neighbor to go on walks in. House was sweet and charming. Unfortunately, because we were here on business and are very dependent on good internet, we will probably only return if it was only for pleasure not business. The internet is shared by multiple tenants and we were booted off repeatedly and when it did work it was very slow. We had to go to McDonalds and Starbucks multiple times to use their internet. The other suggestion is to put a full length mirror somewhere in the house. The 24 hours before check in, we typically get an email with the particulars and so in the beginning he lack of communication was frustrating and they referred us to the website and the info we needed was not there. So overall it is a darling place. Internet was an issue and the other suggestions are just that but we did enjoy it.

Quaint, quiet community

The property is older, clean and a short drive to downtown Spokane as well as Idaho. GPS will get you close to the property but the apartment is tucked behind the actual street. Access to the property is on 14th Avenue down Hawthorne Place which dead ends. It took driving back and forth a couple times before driving behind a shop and seeing the apartment from the back parking lot. More specific details on arriving to the property would be helpful for future guests. Some facial details in the ceiling bathroom could have been cleaned and removed making it not so much of an eyesore. The foam mattress was very firm but doable with the spare blanket folded and laid on top. All listed amenities were available except the code for the laundry room did not work which wasn’t a deal breaker. The carport was suitable for two compact cars or a larger vehicle and a compact but parking in front of the property was ample. We enjoyed our stay making this property comfortable after a long day of sightseeing.
