Girls weekend away

Just had a great girls weekend here! There were four of us. The house was really comfortable, great chaise lounge for reading, and perfect for all, had privacy too because of the way the house is separate/closed off from the main side. Had a great big table for games and I loved the old Atari games joystick, hadn’t played PacMan in years…….we also played “Spot-it” one night; what great fun. Appreciate the Keurig in the kitchen and the views from the deck of the hills / valley behind the house are quite nice. Comfortable beds, really clean house, and two of us had a great run up and down the hills one morning. Thanks for the stay.

Great Hill Country cottage

My family just had a wonderful stay here. What a great house, a cottage feel, and really cool decor. There was a lot of room in this house and it’s spread out nicely. One side of the house closes off and is completely private from the main side. Thinking next time, will ask our friends to join us; there is enough room for two families. Loved the peace and quiet on this property; we really slept great. We drove down into San Antonio for dinner and then the Pearl Brewery. Took the kids to Natural Bridge Caverns; it’s so close, and then the next morning went to Canyon Lake. It was very cool to see the zebras and gazelles on the large ranch that‘s behind this house and there are deer all around. Truly a great stay… I highly recommend it.

Nice & Relaxing Stay!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Perfect Hilltop Perch, booked through Vacasa, and it was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment I arrived, I was taken by the stunning views and the peaceful, serene atmosphere. The location is aptly named—it truly feels like you’re perched above the world, surrounded by lush, woodsy landscapes and breathtaking scenery. The accommodations were impeccable—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed with a charming blend of Southwest appeal and woodsy warmth. The combination of rustic textures, earthy tones, and desert-inspired decor created a welcoming, natural ambiance. Whether relaxing on the deck or soaking in the forest-like surroundings, every moment felt like a perfect retreat. One of the highlights of our stay was heading to Canyon Lake for a refreshing morning swim, followed by a quick stop at Stahlman’s Grocery Store, where we picked up some delicious brunch items. We enjoyed a great little meal back at the house, which made for such a relaxing and memorable morning. Another unique aspect was the neighboring animal park, where you could spot zebras grazing nearby! It added such a magical touch to the experience, making it feel like an adventure in nature, right from the comfort of the home. The host was responsive and made sure that everything was smooth from check-in to check-out. I especially appreciated the little touches that made the stay feel special—everything from the well-stocked kitchen to the plush bedding added to the experience. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with amazing views, Southwest charm, woodsy surroundings, and the delightful surprise of zebras next door, I can’t recommend Perfect Hilltop Perch enough. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Perfect Hilltop Perch

Upon first arriving, the house seemed relatively clean. The front porch should have been swept prior to our arrival. After being in the house for more time, we discovered the floors and rugs in the house needed to be vaccumed. Some of the dishes, glasses and utensils looked like the dishwasher didn't clean them very well. We found hair in the tub drain and floors as well as dust bunnies under the furniture. The listing suggests the house is fully equiped. We could not find dishwasher detetergent or hand soap. There were not enough trash cans and soap dispensers for all three bathrooms. The towels need to be replaced.
