"We cancelled because of a snow storm, weather report received said 1 to 2 feet with 50 mph winds. Not safe. Property manager not helpful neither was Expedia in getting partial refund. Very disappointed."

"This was exactly the right spot for our stay. Although I didn’t have much time to enjoy all of the property’s amenities, everything was well kept and it’s a beautiful, relaxing waterfront location right on the river.The hosts were very responsive, even with our late check-in and a few after-hours questions—they got back to us quickly every time. The cabin itself was fun and enjoyable, with a nice tucked-away feel that made it a great place to stay.We would definitely choose this property again when we return to the area, if it’s available."

"I brought my three girls here for their spring break and when we first walked in, we looked at each other when we walked in like, can we just live here? The kitchen was fully stocked so we enjoyed cooking, the game room was a hit with teens )no screens needed, but also the TV room was cozy and the perfect way to relax). The hot tub looks out on the lake. It just felt like home, which is honestly the best thing I can say about any rental. Not a “nice place,” not a “cute spot” it felt like home. We were comfortable, we were happy, and none of us wanted to leave. We can’t wait to come back!"

"Showed up to a closed darkly lit property on a remote highway. The check in instructions directed me to find an envelope with check in info in front of store. No envelope no people. I called office and after hour numbers to get help and no answer. I texted no answer. I called Travelocity to get help and finally got a text back from office with check in info. Get into the room which was nice, but no WiFi Had no WiFi for the entire stay. Wouldn’t return "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crooked Creek! The location is remote, rugged, and quite beautiful. The cabin was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The kitchen and pantry exceeded expectations; we prepared and ate most of our meals there. The entertainment system and wi-fi also exceeded expectations; streaming options and capacity were outstanding. The hosts are friendly and approachable. We appreciated the ability to disconnect from the usual hubbub of city life, yet to also experience total darkness, silence, and nature in a very spiritual setting. "
