Welcome to the Black Palace! This one-of-a-kind downtown loft is located in the heart of Springfield and is full of unique character! Just take a stroll down the street to sip on a cup of coffee, grab a bite to eat, enjoy some shopping, or soak in the nightlife. Springfield is full of endless options for fun activities to fill your days and this unique loft space will be the perfect spot to lay your head at night!

The Space:
The space
The moment you walk through the front door your eyes will be caught with unique character coming at you from every angle! The 10-foot lioness wallpaper greets you and draws your eye up to the 12-foot ceilings. Across the room the full back wall is covered in original brick and the floors are clad with reclaimed wood. The large, butcher-block island draws you into the kitchen where stainless steel appliances offer an opportunity to eat in if you choose to forgo the plethora of restaurants located on the streets below.

Relax on the living room couch covered in bright teal velvet and enjoy your favorite show on the flat-screen TV! Or open the back door and step out onto the balcony, where just over the iron railing are the street of downtown Springfield buzzing with endless options for entertainment. Back inside, a partition separates the sleeping quarters where a plush king bed sits in front of a wall of glitter wallpaper the sparkles behind the black vintage chandelier!

Even the bathroom boasts of character with a unique, hand-painted Mexican Talavera toilet! The countertop is made from Mosiac tiles centered with a colorful hand-painted sink to match! The black tiled shower is a real luxury and the original brick walls continue to surround you with character. There is even a washing machine and dryer in the apartment for your personal use!

Guest Access:
The entrance to the Black Palace is located directly on South street in downtown Springfield. This door will lead you up a staircase covered with mosaic tile to the Black Palace landing area, where you will be greeted by your 8 foot tall front door brought back from Mexico, made with solid wood and clad with character. You will be given your own access code for the front door keypad and the entire loft will be yours!

PARKING
There is no dedicated parking. There are two options for parking. Most people just utilize street parking. You can often find spots a bit south of the lofts on South Avenue. There are also a few pay lots, one of which is at the corner of Pershing and South Avenue (also just south of the lofts). Another is at the corner of Robberson Ave. and McDaniels St. It’s a bit further away, though.

Other Things to Note:
This loft is located in the heart of downtown Springfield. Music from the neighboring Piano Bar can sometimes we heard from this loft at night. Please bear this in mind when booking.

CANNABIS AND ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE POLICY: Usage of cannabis (marijuana) and any other federally prohibited drug is not allowed on or near the home, property, or premises. Further, any / all guest(s) may not engage in any illegal drug-related activity, including but not limited to recreational or medical cannabis on or near the home, property, or premises. We reserve the right to immediately terminate the stay if any guest(s) engage in such activities. If this policy is violated, the guest who booked the stay acknowledges and agrees he or she is subject to an immediate fine of $1000 USD, along with any property damages, and eviction. Guests forfeits their stay and will not be permitted to return to the property if there is any evidence of cannabis use on the premises.
