“It was very relaxing”

“Cottage is rustic but clean in an amazing location. The view out to the boats moored in the water is one of a kind. We cooked all our meals in the kitchen and it worked well for us -- good sharp knives was a plus. Being able to walk down the dock and get the freshest lobsters possible for an excellent price was the highlight of our stay. Free access to kayaks was another nice amenity -- lots of coast to explore. The house is a little quirky (uneven floors and bathroom door is really a curtain),……

“We spent three nights at Pauls Cottage. As a local host for vacation homes on Cape Cod. I pay attention to the details.The home had a three night minimum.The fee for the host was as much as the nightly rate. There for we expected the service to match the rate. Check in for the cottage was 4:00. We had a 4 1/2 hour drive and knew we would be coming in late. However, we did not hear from our host on how to enter the cottage. “Had the good old field of what we always called a "camp." Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and glassware, etc. The lobster processing facility made for a bit of noise and a pretty steady stream of traffic. A lot of trucks, from pickups to semis coming in and out. Didn't really bother us a whole lot but it might bother other people. Overall the view of the water was pretty nice except for the power lines and there's not much that can be done about that. Have to have electricity after all.”

“This is a great place especially if you have dogs. The only advice I would give the management company is to leave directions to the transfer station or better yet take the trash for your guests at the end of their stay. Putting smelly trash in our car wasn’t great. All in all though, it was a great place for a family with dogs!”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our time here in New Harbor. The quiet and solitude of that area was great, and early morning runs to Pemaquid Beach and down to the lighthouse - wonderful! “We have been staying in the mid coast Maine area for vacation over the last decade and our family agreed that this house in Owl’s Head was the best of all. Every detail has been considered for guests and the house is light-filled, immaculate and comfortable. The location is perfect- we saw so much wildlife, kayaked every day, and had fantastic meals just down the road in Rockland (Ada’s is our favorite). Jen is a very responsive and accommodating host. Can we give it 10 stars??”
