“Warm and friendly ”

“Nice property, overlooking the sea and harbor. The front entrance isn't intuitively obvious, and there is limited parking, although a pay & display across the road is offered too. The rooms are reached through a series of corridors and it is up and down. The decor was dull and the room needs more lighting, especially the bathroom. Overall it felt like a guest house from 20 years ago. The food was average, breakfast being the worst selection of warm (not hot) food I've had for a long time.……

“It was a lovely stay in the coach houses the only issue was in No 43 the lighting in the main room was poor but we still had a brilliant stay. In the Spa the number of loungers & seats were a problem for the number of people using the facilities. We didn’t arrive until the afternoon and other guest told us it worse in the morning. The massages were out of this world ”

“Pub was great, food was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room, Senna Cove was very comfortable, shower fantastic and bed really comfy. The photo on the website is possibly a wee bit out of date. Pub really welcomes dogs, ours was very well catered for and loved his sausages for breakfast. Pub would benefit from having a bin for used poo bags. There are none around. Overall a great experience and we would definitely return ”

“We had the best day and night at charlton hotel and the tempus . The rooms were beautiful, clean, relaxing with everything you would possibly need very impressed with all of the staff nothing was too much trouble for any of them all super friendle xx As for food its second to none just lovely .would recommend to everyone. Thankyou to you all .”

“Beautiful rooms, hot tub was perfect for us arriving, very comfy bed, great room layout. We opted for breakfast delivered to our room and there was such a lot, bacon sandwiches, fruit, yoghurt, pastries etc. The cabins are laid out in such a way that you forget you have neighbours, so quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing night away. The only faults (if I really dig deep) are that the fire pit area could be better landscaped so you don’t walk bits back in to the cabin or get dirt in the……

“We received a warm welcome on a cold winter's day and throughout our stay Wayne and his staff were attentive and ever-pleasant. The real ale and outstanding cooking were real features and breakfast and dinner each night were much enjoyed.”

“Great location, 200 yards from shops, pubs, restaurants, ice cream...very comfy room, shower room, bed. Would stay there again.”

“We were well looked after by members of staff. Breakfasts were really good with excellent choice. Bedroom was of a good size with good wardrobe & drawer space. The lower area of shower externally was not very clean!”

“Beautiful house and gardens although when we were there it rained a lot so didn't get chance to use the garden. Really friendly hosts nothing was too much trouble and one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. EV charging is not a problem either. All in all, perfect hosts and a perfect weekend break.”
