Great place to stay!

Host extremely friendly and helpful, great location and place to stay. Very good for the price. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel this I not the place for you. If you want a clean, safe and comfortable place with a convenient location, don't hesitate and book, you won't be disappointed.

We enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Hans Retreat. We definitely will be back in the future. The location was close to everything in St. Augustine. We love Vilano Beach and why we choose to stay there. Rabbit is super friendly and welcoming to his guests and if you have any questions or concerns he is on location to help. Thanks again Rabbit! We will be back!

A great little place

The location is fantastic. our host Rabbit was very accommodating and informative. The fenced yard was great for my dog. Rabbit makes sure you have ice, bottled water, and basic necessities, he even has an herb garden out back and urges you to help yourself to mint, basil, cilantro, parsley, etc. I am definitely booking again.

We were in town to visit family - we have been to St Augustine many times - can't beat the location - barely got to use the house but it served our needs well.

Great place

The house was clean and well stocked. The yard was a jungle but it was comfortable sitting out there. Our dog lived all the nooks and crannies to explore. We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay! Thank you Rabbit@

Clean & Comfortable

Hans House was overall very clean & comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to see that bottled drinking water, a food processor & a good inventory of cleaning supplies were available. We chose this property for its fenced- in private backyard that was perfect for our two dogs. The traffic noise did take some getting used to but it wasn’t a big deal, as the neighborhood is very quiet & nice for long walks.

Walk on the beach

Beach house was in excellent proximity to beach. Enjoyed to the max walking on the beach. Some traffic noise from highway was annoying. Loved the area.

2020 Retreat

We had a great time. Rabbit is a wealth of knowledge, and he is happy to share the information with you. A couple of days we stayed outside in the yard all day with our dog. Bandit (yard is fenced in). We hope to return next year. Thank you, Rabbit for a wonderful vacation.

The Han's beach house was nice for me and my husband, would have love to stay out side but the yard needed some landscaping, had to do some extra cleaning but the place was stocked with just about everything you need to cook take your favorite cooking tools, they need to have a vaccum to clean pet hair off futton, with that siad will stay again!! Thanks Rabbit !!!

Great Value

This place is perfect for me, my husband, and our dog. Rabbit is a very thoughtful host and provides all the basics for your stay (though you might want to bring your favorite utensils from home if you're planning to cook all your meals as we did), and he's always available to chat and answer any questions. Right across A1A from the beach, the location can't be beat, and the beach is not-busy enough that we were always able to keep plenty of distance from other people. Plenty of food options nearby, though we didn't take full advantage of them this time as we are staying as socially distanced as possible from other people. This was our second visit and we hope to return soon!

Excellent for pet owners!

Small and cozy cottage for a small and cozy town. Fenced in yard was exactly what we needed for our two dogs. Rabbit was on site and very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Across from the beach but only a two minute walk to be in the sand. We will be back!

This was our 2nd stay on in this property. "Rabbit" very accommodating. Everything you need was there. You really just need food, and that is even right down the street.

Wonderful location, doggie friendly cottage feel

We have stayed twice at this location as it was perfect for our family. We love to cook healthy meals at home and our dog needs a fenced yard to play in. Hans Retreat fit the bill perfectly. It is across from the beach and a grocery store and liquor store is closeby. Our host, Rabbit, is awesome - he is a wealth of information.

Everything included

No need to buy anything other than the food.Cleaning supplies,paper products and even bottled water was there.Rabbit keeps in contact to make sure you're happy and give suggestions what to visit . Location is great with the beach just across the street and St Augustine just over the bridge.Perfect for a solo or couple that don't want to spend money eating out constantly. The fenced yard(very nice) is a big plus for dog owners and the beach across the street is pet friendly.

When can I do it again??

Owner "Rabbit" was very kind. Great!!! very nice . The rental was as described, will definitely book again. Very easy to get to and from town. "Rabbit " made sure we had what we needed and then some. All the comforts of home. Thank you "Rabbit". Looking forward to seeing you next year.

Vaca 2019

My boyfriend and myself enjoyed our week here with our doggie. The check in was the easiest and the owner was welcoming and helpful. I would love to return. This has been one of my favorite vacation spots. The beach was close. Downtown was close as well with many fun and historic sites to see. We will be returning to this spot for another enjoyable time.

Great location!

Great location to the beach and fishing pier. We were able to bring our dogs, one of which isn’t too friendly, because it has a great fenced area. Very short drive to all of the Old Town attractions. The home has everything you could possibly need and the price was very reasonable.

great location, enjoyed our stay

We really enjoyed staying here. We enjoyed walking the beach and neighborhood, as well as exploring the history of St. Augustine. The place had a somewhat rustic, "beach cottage" feel to it, and we enjoyed that. The owner was friendly and very helpful, supplying stuff we needed such as briquets for the BBQ and so on. We would definitely stay here again.
