We had such an amazing time. The Christmas lights were definitely a must see. The place was cute, and the location was the perfect spot. We definitely will be going back again.
This house was so cute and was perfect for the 3 of us for a lovely weekend getaway. It was also very close to all the best attractions and restaurants in historic St. Augustine. We were able to keep our car parked at the house and walk everywhere we went, which was a blessing considering traffic is crazy during the holiday's.
Great location to downtown, mostly quiet. House is old (historic?) so it has some quirks like no central air/heat or a washer & dryer. Balconies are nice.
My best friend and I went to St. Augustine for a girls weekend. This Vrbo was the perfect location to walk everywhere. It was clean, cute and well maintained for a historic home. I would highly recommend - and would stay here again. Thank you for everything. Can't wait to return.
The location of this property is tucked away and very private, yet there are so many shops and cafés located within a short walking distance. It’s also easily walkable to downtown as well, therefore we never had to use our vehicle or fight traffic. The hosts were incredibly attentive and provided very quick responses.
3 minute walk to visitor center. Juniper Market just around the corner was perfect for breakfast. It was unusually cold the two nights we stayed, and while there is no central heat, the owners had provided space heaters in both bedrooms that kept us very comfortable. We ordered pizza one night from Five Star Pizza, and it was to our door in about 15 minutes. Very tasty.
So cute! The beds & linens were really nice! Slept great. So convenient, the little market was a lifesaver. We forgot to pick up water. Loved the porches but a tad too cold to sit out.
We loved our stay in St Augustine! The apartment was walking distance to almost everything we wanted to do in the area.
The owners were available and responsive when we needed them.
The apt had a cute kitchen but bring your kuerig Kcups, there is no regular coffee pot. However, we appreciated the recommendation of the CoffeeHouse Realty Cafe across the street with delightful owners & charming atmosphere!
Great breezes from the porch but not as inviting to sit out there.
Overall good value in the area.
Enjoyed how close the house was to downtown area. Able to walk to most places we went. Cute house with comfortable beds. Had trouble with the lock on the first day which was a bit aggravating. Had to call the property manager then had to send a video trying the lock. Took over 30 minutes to get in the house. Other than trouble with the lock, house had everything we needed. Enjoyed the porch in the morning and evening time.
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Bella! It was quaint, clean, and exactly what we needed for our trip. The house is a short drive into town and across the street from some awesome restaurants (Uptown Swinery is amazing!) If you are looking for a fun and relaxing place to land after a day of exploring... look no further!
Very lovely second floor apartment with comfy furnishings and decor. Very well represented in listing. Walking distance to the St. George historic district. Definitely will stay here again.
My teenage daughter and I were on our way to Ft Lauderdale for a concert and decided to break up the drive a little on the way down. St. Augustine was a perfect stop. Only a couple nights stay and this unit was perfect for us. So close to everything! Definitely recommend. Added bonus was all the lights up for the holidays. Beautiful this time of year!
I booked this listing for my son and husband who love to visit St. Augustine. They loved that is was within walking distance to all the attractions. They thought it was very clean and comfortable. There is convenient store on the same block which was really nice. The place is not huge but is ideal for up to 4 people if your goal is to be mostly out enjoying the city. The screened porches offered a nice place to relax and enjoy coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. My husband and son were very pleased with their recent stay and would definitely book this place again!
Everything was I. Walking distance, only issue was upon check in. Check in was scheduled for 3pm but the cleaning crew only arrived at that time. We were able to access the property about 3:30 and then had to air out the house because of the bleach.
Other than that great vrbo.
Location was fantastic! We were able to walk to all the sights and didn’t have to deal with driving/parking. Had very good communication from the host and the directions with pictures were very helpful. Don’t think we would have found it in the middle of the night otherwise. The patios were very nice. It is cozy so best for family. The shower is a bit tight/interesting, but worked fine for us. Would suggest a power strip to each side of the bed in the main bedroom and maybe a floating shelf to place/charge phones, etc. nice quiet, safe area that is close to everything!
Booked three months ago. An hour from getting to st Augustine received a call that they doubled booked and we had no where to stay. No money returned no room to rent seriously the worst experience ever. I will not recommend vrbo or this property to anyone ever.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this cozy apartment in walking distance to everything. Perfect for 2 people! There were a few things I felt needed attention & recommendations.
The unit wasn’t very clean, the outside porch wasn’t swept at all & the tables on the porch weren’t even wiped clean, curtains looked like they should be thrown in the trash. They are filthy & torn. Metal rods to the curtains are thrown all over the floor. There was only 2 hangers left in each closet to use, no full length mirror anywhere, lamps in the bedrooms would be a nice touch too. The closets were filled with stand up fans & bed pads which took up the whole closet & gives no space to put anything. Nowhere to put any shower toiletries when showering. A shower caddy or shelf inside would be nice otherwise you drip water everywhere to get your shampoo etc. There was a plastic shower caddy outside the shower in bad shape & should be thrown out There was no lights going up the backstairs so we had to use our phone flashlight to see. A keirug maker was available but no coffee pods so youeither have to take your own or one shouldn’t be placed there at all. Not even a tea pot or tea bags available. I’ve stayed at several vrbo’s & these are basics that they all have. Overall a very cute place with some very nice touches but needs some attention to what would make guests feel more comfortable.

I guess I am going to be the contrarian in the reviews and suggest that interested parties look closely at the photos and information in their selection process. The unit looked nice in a cursory viewing of the photos but it is tiny and basically unlivable for a group of 4 adults. It is in a great location and if you are a guy looking to relive your college freshman days it is probably nice. Very crowded with no indoor table that will reasonably seat 4 adults, no closet doors - just curtains held in place with galvanized pipes on eyelets with masking taped ends so as not to cut anyone, doors with some knobs working but only locking with screen door hooks, mobile home size range, refrigerator & microwave with the only usable counter space in two small patches on either side of the sink, a 3x3 curbed shower and apparently a little crusty spot in the middle of one of the bed spreads.
As a general contractor building new vacation rentals elsewhere in Florida I may be a bit picky. Just seems as if many in the online rental industry are taking the approach that “newly renovated” means doing the minimum work necessary and a coat of paint for good photos.
We had a 4 night rental but could only stay the night of our arrival because it was so bad and ended up getting another rental in town for the remaining 3 days at significant expense but it saved our trip.
The owners did note in response to my email complaint that the layout and kitchen amenities were as shown in the picture which is true, just be careful to note the wide angle lens which makes a normal size door in the pictures look like a garage door. They also noted that the retro style was an "intended amenity". So if your desire is to go back to your youth and vacation, for a few hundred dollars per night in your first "pad" with cheap silk flowers and metal nesting tables for your friends and you to eat frozen dinners while watching football, then you will be in heaven.
To close, as noted above, this place gets high reviews from others so maybe our vision of retro is a well kept bungalow from the 20s and not the lifestyle we lived in our 20s. You will have to decide if you want that much retro for your hard earned dollars.
