Everything was great, unfortunately I believe the unit had a pet previous to my arrival. Which I am allergic to, my allergies acted up slightly, but I did stay outside in the fresh air the majority of the time. The unit needs a new dishwasher. I like to app to get in and out of the unit, although when i went to get gas Saturday morning before check out it would not let me back in so i had to call customer service. It was was quite and the weather was good. We has a super time , will be back

The coffee pot and toaster could be updated. A kitchen drawer was broken and hard to open. There were large insects in the kitchen and one seen in the master bathroom. We did kill them and made sure our food was stored in the refrigerator. The overall unit was clean and nice. Thank you!

Hibiscus Timeshares

I've been coming to Hibiscus since 2004. It's good value and a beautiful location on the beach. Renovations and updates are slow and ongoing. New window blinds would help at night to block out the excessive lighting thats on all night around the central pool. Easy check-in and departure. Not all 3 pools are heated, only the central one, so you can't enjoy all of them in the cooler months. Yet we pay to have them as our package. Plan to share the one pool if you'rehere in winter. Friendly staff at front office, and maintenance guy helped answer any questions. I'll be back next year!

Lovely setting, NICE porch pool view with close walk to beach GREAT HOT TUB

We enjoyed the porch on back of the 2 BR so much we relaxed there most the time! Stretched our legs by walking to beach; so serene that we did several meditative walks on beach shoreline during visit. HOT TUB located near pool that backed up to our 'porch'/unit was excellent. Grounds and pool were very pretty/well kept. Many eating places and grocery stores close by BUT do need a car... We liked O-Steen's for big plate of 24 fried shrimp & 2 sides we SHARED @$25 cash only but WORTH IT!!! Open 11am, Go early as no reservations and so good that there are usually lines. Can get a TO GO which is faster... Visited relatives who live in area mainly & ate out. BUT St. Augustine has many great tourist attractions like the Castillo de St. Marcos & lovely lighthouse. On another visit did a boat ride on the Matanzas river to a FORT which was interesting. OLD TOWN is fun but food there is more expensive... All in all, had a great time & highly recommend The Hibiscus!

Great place to stay!

Stayed here for a week with my wife and young daughters and had a great time. The pool was right out the door from out condo and was very well kept. The condo itself was very clean. The neighborhood it was in was quiet and we were surrounded by other families. Overall we had a great stay, we would defiantly stay here again.

Cons and pros

Cons: The unit is in dire need of an update. It felt dirty. The master bedroom mattress was awful, dips to roll into. The first night gave me a such a backache that I wondered how I was going to be able to make it 2 more nights. I used a pillow to keep myself from rolling into the dip in the mattress Pros: Plenty of room, nice deck and close to the pool.
