You have all the conveniences you need - king bed, sleeper sofa, spacious bath, fully-equipped kitchenette with apartment-sized fridge and a balcony with one of the most impressive views of Cruz Bay and the Caribbean you will ever see. You will find this location perfect, not only for its gorgeous views but because you are off the street far enough that there is no street noise nor bar scene music with absolute privacy. Our studio is on the second floor - actually three stories up because of the garage - of the highest building at Grande Bay Resort. Of course, we have elevators to get you there. You can watch over Cruz Bay, the gorgeous mountains or see nine beautiful island, including St Thomas, from the balcony. Best of all, should your dinner include a few of the islands famous libations, you don't have to get in a car and drive home. You are just steps from your island home.
Grande Bay Resort provides a fantastic swimming pool and pool deck to sunbathe. There is also a very large Jacuzzi. Our gym features the very best equipment for a good workout. Whatever you need, we have it to make your stay special.
Once you book, our management company will contact you and assist you with any needs you have to make your vacation and visit to our island memorable. They can help you provision your studio before your arrival. If you would like a greeter, they will meet you on the Grande Bay property. They would be available to take you to the studio, answer any questions you may have about St John and are there 24/7 to assist you with any special needs.
St John is unique among Caribbean Islands in that 75% of the island is controlled by the U.S. National Park Service. That means that there are not rows and rows of hotels along our beaches, which is the primary reason our beaches are the best found in the Caribbean. There are as many as 75 little bays where you can snorkel, more than 20 exceptional beaches with wonderful sand, and numerous hiking trails up and down the steep mountains that bring so much beauty to our little island. We have travelled to almost every island in the Caribbean and none are as beautiful or tranquil as St John.
We provide everything to make your stay pleasant. We are stocked with linens and towels in the bath, beach towels, beach chairs and coolers. We also provide FREE wifi and FREE telephone service to the States. If you do not have your own gear, there is also a dive shop right beside the condos that rents gear. Paddleboards and kayaks can also be rented.
If this is your first tip to our island, please let us know and we will send you our recommendations for restaurants and beaches. Our manager will also share recommendations.
While studios at Grande Bay do not have assigned parking spaces, there is a possibility our on-island manager could possibly find parking on site based on availability during your stay. If parking on site is unavailable there are several paid parking lots in the area. Several car-rental agencies also allow overnight parking as a backup.
And did I mention ROMANCE. This studio is ideal for that little get away that you both need to bring back that spark that our busy lives leave behind. You will find no more romantic place on Earth than St John. Its pristine beaches and gourmet restaurants provide the perfect location for romance, regardless of what honeymoon or special event you are celebrating.
